Of course it will, I know that already.

Tyr 08-25-2006 04:06 PM

Then I can stop worrying over the balance of the universe.

victim of changes 08-26-2006 08:27 AM

United Abominations will own

eug008 08-26-2006 08:33 AM

I have high hopes for that album

Jev 08-26-2006 09:04 AM

Same here. I can really see it being a contender for their best album.

FatalEnergy 08-26-2006 12:05 PM

Ehhh...I'm not sure. We will see.

pate 08-26-2006 04:25 PM

*ordered G2 tix today* w00t!

eug008 08-26-2006 08:15 PM

Shit, my goal for today is to go order them.

victim of changes 09-02-2006 10:06 PM

Wow 5th page for megadeth huh, the new artwork looks a lot different than anything else they've done, you can pre-order United Abominations at Gigantour.

Apocalyptic Raids 09-02-2006 10:07 PM

I wasn't aware the official artwork had been released.

eug008 09-02-2006 11:39 PM

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Abominations is the artwork and other info. Got my G2 tickets a few days ago

Bazarov 09-07-2006 10:08 PM

I can't wait to see these guys with Overkill this Saturday. I'm so stoked! Second time seeing them.

playguitar 09-08-2006 01:48 AM

I saw the G2 set list and wasn't too impressed.

Bazarov 09-08-2006 01:58 AM

It doesn't matter who's playing there, I pretty much hate everyband there besides Overkill and Megadeth, and I'm willing to put up with them to see those 2 bands.

Also, I'm glad to see only one song under 6 minutes for the new Megadeth album, now hopefully the songs won't be boring, I can't stand long songs that are boring. I can't stand boring songs.

That artwork is shit.

Chu 09-08-2006 03:56 AM

Meh, it's Megadeth, that's all that matters to me

Wow, I just looked at the song times.

I think this is going to be an amazing album.

Edit: It's gonna be 'Deth doing ****en prog, that's why Mustaine did Gigantour with DT last year, he wanted to learn some virtuoso shiz from Petrucci \m/

At least, I wish.

eug008 09-08-2006 04:40 AM

Holy shit just saw how long the songs will be, is Megadeth goin like Prog/Thrash Metal of somthing?

EDIT: They played a new song :amaze:

http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=57889

Still no bootleg yet

Chu 09-08-2006 05:04 AM

Holy **** it's an instrumental. :chug:

**** yes \m/

Edit: Wasn't Set The World Afire originally called Megadeth?

eug008 09-08-2006 05:28 AM

Actually im not too sure it is, when I was going through the gigantour/megadeth forums I think I remember someone saying that Dave just played it as an instrumental because he hadn't figured out how to sing the words too it.

Lord Abortion 09-08-2006 06:06 AM

Is that a Black Sabbath cover I see there?

Chu 09-08-2006 07:11 AM

Leave it as an instrumental

Lord Abortion 09-08-2006 07:11 AM

Instrumentals are for fags and girls.

Chu 09-08-2006 07:13 AM

I am a fag then.

I love my instrumentals. :naughty:

eug008 09-08-2006 07:28 AM

I didn't really like Into The Lungs Of Hell so no instrumental for me. But looking at the song length it would have to have lots of instrumentalish parts?

Chu 09-08-2006 08:22 AM

I love the whole So Far, So Good... So What! album, Into The Lungs of Hell is the perfect album opener (Right next to Fight Fire With Fire  ), musical orgasm.

What about Silent Scorn? That's a pretty cool instrumental too :chug:

Jev 09-08-2006 08:40 AM

Silent Scorn is pretty cool.

I prefer Into the lungs... more though.

jane 09-08-2006 08:48 AM

What about absolution

Drone 09-08-2006 05:20 PM

I'm not really big on the song title "Shadowy Death." Is this a confirmed track listing?

Nepenthe 09-08-2006 06:01 PM

Into The Lungs Of Hell is so good, as is Set The World Afire. If the rest of the album could've been as good as the opening tracks, it'd have been a masterpiece.

HahahitnRun 09-08-2006 09:21 PM

Hook in Mouth is definetly on the same level as the opening tracks and the cover of Anarchy in the UK is also a pretty fun listen.

eug008 09-08-2006 09:31 PM

Anyone got the new track yet? I'm about to begin my search.

Looks like this is indeed the last Gigantour for Megadeth

Has a new song been released/leaked?

Chu 09-08-2006 11:02 PM

Well, he played Washington's Next at Gigantour, so I spose it's sort of been released.

eug008 09-09-2006 02:27 AM

Yeah, amazing how I couldn't find it anywhere

Heres what someone said about it
I would place it more towards RIP simply because most of the song is fast. It's got complicated guitar riffs and its pretty long. I can tell that it's probably going to be favorite in the upcoming album. I went to go pre-order the UA CD but after buying the last years Gigantour DVD, I didn't havge enough money so I guess i'll just have to wait until it comes out next year. The crowd for the Boise show was a decient size. I suppose that there isn't a large metal scene here, the crowd in CA was a lot larger. But An interesting fact that I heard during the concert, Dave announced that he used to live in Idaho. He gave us a friendly "Howdy Neighbor". Maybe that's why they decided to start in Boise this year.
They also played the full version of it with vocals at the latest show.

If they're playing new songs on Gigantour, then I'm sure bootlegs will appear in a couple of weeks.

Chu 09-09-2006 03:39 AM

That breaks my heart

playguitar 09-09-2006 05:01 AM

SFSGSW is a pretty good album. Set the World Afire and In My Darkest Hour are flippin genius, Mary Jane is great, Hook, Liar, and Lungs are pretty good, but 502 is just terrible, and so is Anarchy.

Chu 09-09-2006 05:13 AM

I don't think 502 is the greatest, but it's not bad..

Mary Jane is the highlight in my opinion, could it almost be considered prog? The riffs change so much, isn't that the definition of prog?

Edit: In My Darkest Hour is pretty good too.

Apocalyptic Raids 09-09-2006 05:22 AM

The only track I don't really like much on SFSGSW is Liar. The rest range from amazing to damn good.

Jev 09-09-2006 05:32 AM

I used to love Liar but then it started to annoy me, it's immature.
