a lot of emo is more "indie" sounding, and most newer screamo is a lot more melodic and ambient than traditional hardcore

screamo is octaves and yelping

short version: emo came out of hardcore. emo is an abbreviation for emotive hardcore. "screamo" is a joke term for emo bands with screamed vocals, like "emo violence" is a joke term for emo bands with power violence/grindcore/etc influence.

Jayson Green is the guy who did vocals in Orchid, IDK who the kid who messaged him is.
