The print came out pretty good, but you have to watch out for the over-spray, it just ruins the shirt. Next time, put newspaper anywhere that's not going to be painted on.
so you had no luck finding one at thrift stores and stuff? if you really look you can get a quality used leather jacket for under 40 bucks.
No you can't, even the cheapest of cheap charity and vintage shops around here have leather jackets for £40-£80, no less, ever.

Saying that, I got my white fringed cowboy jacket for £10, and my black trenchcoat for £10, but they're not very thick leather, and I was referring to biker jackets.

Saying that, Eran, if you ever see a leather biker jacket in a charity shop in my sizeish (34 chest maybe?) please tell me.

edit: to the guy that asked: leatherup.com if you're american.

So geniuses, how do you DIY a half-stack, tuner, wireless unit, three sets of 9-42s and a pair of boots?

Be wicked punx and steal it from bowie. Or just your local guitar center.

Rise Me Up 10-30-2006 03:14 PM

Jono, that's pretty good for your first. The eyes are a little crooked, but I'd wear it.

You'd wear anything you slut!

I discovered an amazing discover that could revolutionise the stencilling world: Linoleum. Seriously, it's easy to cut, you can get shitloads of it in skips for free, and it rolls up neatly, so you can cut a massive stencil, spray it, roll it up and leggit all within 60 seconds.

POINTLESS5448 10-31-2006 06:40 PM

i made a fat suit for halloween. its hot as **** in here.

Flagjacket 10-31-2006 07:47 PM

I am not participating in Halloween this year. It's too dangerous to be out at night where I live.

Danger Bird 10-31-2006 09:25 PM

I'm sick of halloween. I've been too old to trick or treat for a while, but this year I'm not even going to smoke weed at the cemetary.

By the way, can you guys actually tell what this is supposed to be?

It took me a little while to figure it out but I think it's a coffin with an American flag over it, right?

POINTLESS5448 10-31-2006 11:42 PM

yeah its a coffin. i saw it right away.

Danger Bird 10-31-2006 11:53 PM

Okay, cool. I might invert the stripes and see how it looks that way.

Jon 11-01-2006 01:16 PM

If you can't see what a stencil is right away then its obviously pointless.

Danger Bird 11-01-2006 07:19 PM

Is this easier to see? Maybe if I did the whole coffin outline...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v428/BPMead007/DIY/Image4.jpg

Jon 11-01-2006 07:24 PM

Its easier to see, but only because we know what it is.

Do it two colours, it will be 100x better and not too much harder.

Danger Bird 11-01-2006 07:28 PM

How would I design the stencil that way? I'm familiar with the concept, I just can't visualize how I would make each layer.

Jon 11-01-2006 07:37 PM

Basically,
http://i12.tinypic.com/2iqyctw.jpg

One stencil of just the red, then either:
1) do a screen with the blue
2) a stencil of the whole quadrilateral area of the blue, and stencils of the stars on top.

faith and fiction 11-02-2006 11:35 PM

I'm making some ink for a Kiwi Mop this weekend. Pretty simple but I'll let you guys know how it turns out.

Jon 11-03-2006 06:31 PM

I'm really lame and I like to plan out things before I make them, so here's my design for my leather :)

I'll make it in the next few weeks.

Probably won't use those badges either, but yeah.

I don't know why I suddenly had such a lack of ideas.

POINTLESS5448 11-06-2006 08:51 PM

Jon 11-07-2006 07:55 AM
