So could the Death, Scream Bloody Gore thread. Death metal can go anywhere so let it go. Otherwise that's being too anal.

Ahh, you're right. I just thought it wasn't really smart to make a completely new thread about it.

Stoic 08-15-2005 02:45 PM
I would prefer a seperate thread that will provide further details on each series. For example what is each series about, what day they are usually posted or anything else the authors might want to say.

However, since the mods arent fod of more stickies a seperate post will be ok. The point is though that many people dont know that in the rules thread there are other things besides the rules so they dont check it out.

I thought I should bring it on again since I didnt get a reply the first time.

Lately I've been getting the impression that people miss FAs that might interest them simply because there's not a standard place where links are gathered.

Here's what I've been collecting for almost a month now, please tell me if I miss something.

I like that you're doing this. It would be cool to put a link in the rules to this post, if you want to keep it updated. IMO at least.

Im pretty sure you missed the Official Beatles thread!

SonorKen 08-15-2005 03:19 PM

Thanks for all of your work on this Stoic. I changed the name of the official rules thread to Rules and Links to attract more people.

Additionally, if you keep a list of all the links I'll keep them updated in the rules.

Again, thank you for your help.

Im all open for suggestions on how to attract people to the Rules and Links thread btw.

Hey Ken: August is the eighth month of the year, not the ninth :p

Agitator01 08-15-2005 03:34 PM

Ok, I will delete this post as I do with all my others but why do I have -600 rep now? This is really getting old lol

It was 88, then it went to -59, then -79 yesterday it wen't to +32 now its -600

Is this being caused by a playfull mod who likes to humour me, or is it a glitch?

Syncratic 08-15-2005 03:36 PM
Hey Ken: August is the eighth month of the year, not the ninth
I noticed that too. I was confused, cause my birthday is the fifth, I was befuddled.

I will look into this myself and have an answer for you when I get back in about an hour.

Kage 08-15-2005 03:52 PM

Just out of curiosity...how many rep points does one need these days to get stars?

Thank you Ken, as always I appreciate your work.

Wrong thread, buddy. Read the rules, dude.

Welcome to MX! :thumb:

**read Or Risk Getting Banned**
Ken, it might be a good idea to put something like "READ OR RISK GETTING BANNED" in the title of the rules, purely as that might get more attention. Just my opinon.

And with the new rules, just to make things look neater it might be an idea to have the series all in order, rather than what we have at the moment where we've got some in one post and some in another. What I'd suggest would be having the featured artist and featured genre thread link in post #2 of the rules, where they are now, and then all the other series in post #5, although that's purely for neatness reasons.

That would mean the new order of post #5 would read the same down to the UPDATES line, and then you could just copy/paste the links from post#2 to post #5 so the series are in order. Does that make sense? :/
It could always be put in the title of the opening thread, alike I have done here. I feel it would save time edititing the post.

I think you need to have 1000 points. If you have less than 3000 posts you get 3 starts though

Thank you for paying attention Ken. Is seems that you want to be even more active after your holidays :p

You are getting negative rep. There is no glitch or problem here. You are being -repped by both moderators and users alike and no one person has -repped you twice. My advice is to change your posting habits if rep is important to you.

-:Vincent:- 08-15-2005 04:57 PM

Do you have any control of some of the avatar's people put up? Some of them can be quite inapropriate. And seeing how my computer is in a public area, i'd like to cut down on that.

Well it must have been edited by an admin perhaps? if you look at my posts since last night you will see nothing but helpfull/average posts. Could I not have it zero'd?

See if it goes up or down once again. I have accually been posting pretty well to be honest.

If you report a bad avatar in here then the mods can clean it up yes.

Nah, there is no way it can be reset. It is all legit rep. Noone has edited it. Rep isnt a quick fix, its like your real reputation on here. When your real reputation improves so will your rep.

You would be better to put this in the Site area in the Report Problems thread.

but it went from +34 to -600 in one night with now more neg rep appearing in my thing... It WAS edited according to sources, its impossible to do that.

I have just done something for the forums now, located two bad avatars... It will probably go to - 689 now!

Ok... I don't want to keep droning on about this, could I have a list of the people who negged me? and the post they negged me for...

SonorKen 08-15-2005 05:18 PM

Nope no list, if you have large drops in rep then it was a moderator who negged repped you. The best thing to do is to just be a good member. Now, lets drop all the rep talk.
