Show No Mercy. Then South of Heaven and Hell Awaits.
Mind you, I'd pick all of them ahead of RiB and Seasons In The Abyss.
Thanks. Yeah, I wasn't trying to imply that those two were the best, those are just the ones I have already. |
Get Decade Of Agression also, live slayer \m/
Sodom are good. Very solid band....I'm not to keen on their really early material mind you. The 'In The Sign of Evil' EP and 'Obsessed By Cruelty' are pretty dodgy, but good in parts.
No way! BLASPHEMAH! BLASPHEMAH!!! That song needs to be mandatory Titans listening. ITSoE owns my testicles, of which I have a very large and manly pair. Ok, disregard that. Sodom = teh complete xzwnination. See my avatar for further proof. |

NP: Marty Friedman - Jewel (If you want both harmony and speed, this is the song) |
Shit, thrash is already dibbed for the FG. :(
Speaking of Sodom, I'm seing them this summer. |
Sodom! where are you seeing em?
I wouldn't worry about the FG thing. I would have liked to do it aswell, but it ain't gonna happen. I don't see me doing any other genre aswell. |
Milwaukee Metalfest. Sadus will be playing there too! :chug:
Yeah, I won't worry. Who dibbed thrash though? I don't remember anybody doing so. |
I don't think it was anybody in the titans, so we can probably expect a pretty cruddy overview.
Actually, I think dibbing far in advance is out. I can also yell at FF over soulseek and he will (maybe) let you do it. Oh, wait, I just read the Tech-Death thread again, and I think I caused some confusion. When I said "it's already been taken", I was just talking about the next FG spot, not the spot for thrash. As far as I know, it is still open. |
Neither do I. I just assumed that someone had when you posted that.

Random post, but, the Kreator drummer is bloody good, in my opinion (People of The Lie for example, amazing drumming, hell the whole song is amazing!)
Thats sounds so good! I wish stuff like that happened over here in England. |

Yes, Ventor is one of my favorites and has a nifty voice. |

I think his work on Pleasure to Kill is just horrible. BLEH! |

I can see where you're coming from. The drumming kinda turned me off of PtK when I first heard it. Then, I tried listening to the whole album in correct order with no pauses. I think if you focus more and more on the guitar work, the drumming will become tolerable (as it did for me). Pleasure to Kill still fucking owns. I'll be away for a while everybody. I'll still be able to post here, but not as often as I usually do. A recommendation before I leave: Helstar - Nosferatu (Speed/thrash) |

question, is pleasure to kill kreator?, if so what album is it on? |

A recommendation before I leave: Helstar - Nosferatu (Speed/thrash)
Well, Pleasure to Kill is a good album. However, even though the drums are pretty sloppy, the real negative aspect is how much the snare just stands out. He's just beating the living shi.t out of it. :D
question, is pleasure to kill kreator?, if so what album is it on?
Yeah, Pleasure to Kill is an album by Kreator, released in 1986. |
I think his work on Pleasure to Kill is just horrible. BLEH!
I know what you mean. At first, I didn't like it either. There were too many meatbeats from the snare. You know, "THUNK THUNK THUNK THUNK THUNK THUNK THUNK THUNK THUNK THUNK THUNK THUNK". But then later I got used to them, and now I don't mind them at all. |
He has improved greatly as you can tell when you listen to Enemy of God.
|
I also have a confession to make:
I honestly think Mille's leads aren't the greatest on PtK, whereas everytime I hear it I think of Kerry King, but actually better than Kerry's solos. However, listening to some of the work Frank and Sami have done, I think Mille has some great rhythm work and some good vocals (PtK vocals are awesome). Nonetheless, PtK is brutal, extreme and I need to get my *** on finishing the iTunes download because I have enough for the ones I haven't gotten. |
What's the next best Slayer album to Reign in Blood and Seasons?
NP: Carcass - Heartwork
Divine Intervention is their next best. Very solid record. |

In other news, the Megadeth Sydney show is now 18+ so I am tossing up whether to buy a ticket when they go on sale tomorrow. They're about my favourite band, even with the line-up changes. I love the new record. I'm 18 in September. |
:O, where did you hear that the sydney show is now 18+? the megadeth site still says all ages. If you are right, then i wont be going :(
and what does SNDCSR stand for? |

No way, are you on crack? Get everything up to and including RiB, then you're set.
At first, I didn't like it either. There were too many meatbeats from the snare. You know, "THUNK THUNK THUNK THUNK THUNK THUNK THUNK THUNK THUNK THUNK THUNK THUNK".
That's what's good about it. Thrash should be ceaseless, uncompromising brutality! |
