That is also something that got me smoking again. You could say that I am straight edge, I don't smoke, drink, do drugs ect.

My stepdad just got back from a trip to San Francisco and brought back some cigarettes. I'm lucky enough to have what seem to be regarded as some of the best cigarettes in my house, so I grabbed one. Only one.

Also, I won't be addicted after just one.

I know I'm not a smoker, because I've never bought my own cigarettes, and I go months without having one. I couldn't care any less about it.

It's kind of boring, I [I]wish[/I] I could have an addiction sometimes.

Im only 15 well 16 so i have plenty of time to try one in the future. I happy with my recational smoking habbits. I would say i only smoke weed once every couple of months. And then i stop when track season starts and then celebrate during summer. Its a good cycle.

I'm turning 18 this saturday.
I'm pretty excited for a drunken good time :p

I've got a pretty good understanding of cigarettes and how addictive they are, I grew up in a house where everyone smoked. My mom, my stepdad, and my two older brothers. Even more than that, I've seen many of my friends get addicted to them, and seen a couple quit. I've seen my family members quit too.

It's just something I want to experience for myself. One cigarette.

Lies! I have a coke addicted brother and my father quit smoking two years ago, after over 35 years of smoking.

And like Isaid, I'm not addicted.

cigarettes are....i wont say hard to quit, because i can go a week without a craving, its just stopping yourself from smoking them once you have them

I'm reading a really good and funny book called Portnoy's Complaint. In it, the main character talks about his masturbation addiction: waking up, before meals, after meals, during meals, whenever he was bored, etc.

So... that would be quite a thing to have to overcome.

spiff for your first cigarette, buy a pack of marlboro 100's, that will probably make you not want to get addicted, its what i smoke now, and its definitley cut down on the amount of cigarettes i smoke

Is that really possible. What is it that would become addicted? Its not like your adding something to your system. Actually i would assume your dopamine(spelling) levels would rise when you masterbate. I would have to be in one of those rehablitation places.

I didn't say everybody gets the gene. So you got lucky and don't have the gene and your brother wasn't as lucky. Its the way genetics works. I didn't make it up.

But one cigarette will not get you addicted.

I won't be at all surprised if I like something about it, but I refuse to get addicted because I'll fu[SIZE="2"]ck[/SIZE]ing hate myself for it, my family will hate me for it, and my friends will hate me for it.

It's mostly the self-loathing that would get to me, but there are a couple friends that I would feel bad about letting down by starting smoking. I've already talked to these friends about my one cigarette plan, and the one that I respect the most (who is a former smoker) supports me in having one, or even having one every once in a while (if I so choose), but has told me not to smoke with people (which I didn't plan on anyway) and just not to keep doing it and get addicted.

hmm just watch yourself, i started smoking to get an addiction then break it, just because i couldnt figure out why people got addicted to cigarettes. so in a week i smoked a pack, then went a long time without any no problem. then i started smoking again over the summer, and now its geetting harder to quit, but its still doable as long as i dont buy more

I have a Marlboro Red I took from my stepdad's pack who just got back from the US. I'm set. :thumb:

a 100, is a red only like an inch longer, so yeah. my first cigarette was a red. make sure you are sitting down O_O. i smoked one outside in the snow and i fell on my ***. those reds are not wussy cigarettes
