I listen to Fresh Fruit more than any other DK albums I have, but I like them all.
|
I quite like Fresh Fruit as well.
|
I liked Frankenchrist as soon as I got it. It's a really good album. FFFRV is better though.
|
Frankenchrist grew on me. I didn't really like it at first but it grew on me after a while.
|
Great band. Theres not remotley a bad album by them.
|
In God We Trust Inc. is still my favourite from them, so amazing.
Plastic Surgery Disasters is a close second just because of Moon Over Marin. |
Plastic Surgery Disasters is my favorite.
|
I listen to the In God We Trust the most, I believe it to be the most addicting
|
I learned Riot on the bass and i cant stop playing it, its so fun!
|
When I learned Moon Over Marin on guitar I couldn't stop playing it.
|
I love playing Pull My Strings on guitar. It's easy to play (minus the awesome solo) and it's a great song.
Plastic Surgery Disasters
You cannot beat the DK Nerd.
I've come to this realization as well. |
You cannot beat the DK Nerd.
Are they your favorite band? |
I should post this in this thread.
My allmighty DK collection: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v151/PunkRockLoser666/Misc/DKstuff.jpg |
Are they your favorite band?
I told him if there was such a thing as a DK nerd, he'd be it in the vinyl thread. ninja edit: For fuck's sake, cut it out. |
I told him if there was such a thing as a DK nerd, he'd be it in the vinyl thread.
Ah, I see. |
Are they your favorite band?
Yes. There is only few bands I'd rather listen to than them (Johnny Cash and Beatles mainly), but I'd always choose DK over anything else |
I'm finding loads of DK **** on eBay I want. I think I may spend some money soon.

And you don't think this is even a little excessive? |
And you don't think this is even a little excessive?
:p I won't spend over $15 for a record, hence why I haven't bought the $30 copies of Frankenchrist + Poster I've seen. That's just unreasonable, even for my favourite record. I'm a bargainer at heart from years of going to toy and antique shows, so I like cheap stuff. |

I bought most of my DK stuff from ebay. |
I have Plastic Surgery Disasters and In God We Trust Inc as one album, so it's cool.
|
Nick, can you explain the three copies of Frankenchrist?
|
They're all different releases, and he was hoping to find the one with the orignal phallic poster that caused quite a bit of uproar.
|
I liek Dead Kennedys, Im not much of a Punk Music Fan, But I really like therre stuff
|
Nick, can you explain the three copies of Frankenchrist?
Joe explained it, but I'll go more in detail. One in the middle is the remaster reissue from Manifesto records. The two on the ends are Alternative Tentacles releases. I bought both hoping to get the poster, but it's only in the vinyl. But I ended up keeping them both because one is an orginial CD release and the other seems to be an AT reissue or just a different copy because the CD and back case are different then the other two. And all my CDs and Vinyls are Manifesto releases unfortunely, except Bedtime which is an AT release. I'm hoping to get vinyl ATs soon.
I have Plastic Surgery Disasters and In God We Trust Inc as one album, so it's cool.
That's the only way to get it on CD. I don't like it like that, because PSD obviously ends with Moon Over Marin and even has the ghost from Christmas past talking again and it's just wrong for it to jump right into IGWTI. |
That and IGWTI should be before PSD.
|
That and IGWTI should be before PSD.
That too. I don't understand why they grouped them on CD, since Manifesto re-released IGWTI as a vinyl seperate from PSD. |

I have that record:cool: Also, Holiday in Cambodia is a ****ing awesome song. Something about makes me all warm inside. |
Oh man, i'm loving Buzzbomb, Moon over Marin, Terminal Preppie and I am the owl.
BTW, What is GMCOGMD ? Is it a best of ? |
No, normal album I think.
|
lol. I love the part in riot where they play dragnet and Jello goes 'S'hit!'
It humours me. |
Oh man, i'm loving Buzzbomb, Moon over Marin, Terminal Preppie and I am the owl.
BTW, What is GMCOGMD ? Is it a best of ?
not really, it's more 'B-Sides and other Rarities'. People always say it's their Best Of when there's only two actual singles on it (Holiday in Cambodia and California Uber Alles) but Pull My Strings is hot. |
