I listen to Fresh Fruit more than any other DK albums I have, but I like them all.

Ghostfire3 12-29-2005 06:15 PM

I quite like Fresh Fruit as well.

skavid 12-29-2005 06:50 PM

I liked Frankenchrist as soon as I got it. It's a really good album. FFFRV is better though.

Lazybassplr56 12-29-2005 06:57 PM

Frankenchrist grew on me. I didn't really like it at first but it grew on me after a while.

everywhere,allthetime 12-29-2005 06:59 PM

Great band. Theres not remotley a bad album by them.

Brain Toad 12-29-2005 07:12 PM

In God We Trust Inc. is still my favourite from them, so amazing.

Plastic Surgery Disasters is a close second just because of Moon Over Marin.

guns_of_brixton 12-29-2005 07:20 PM

Plastic Surgery Disasters is my favorite.

GermFreeAdolescent 12-29-2005 08:39 PM

I listen to the In God We Trust the most, I believe it to be the most addicting

CombatRock 12-30-2005 01:26 AM

I learned Riot on the bass and i cant stop playing it, its so fun!

Brain Toad 12-30-2005 01:30 AM

When I learned Moon Over Marin on guitar I couldn't stop playing it.

Ghostfire3 12-30-2005 01:32 AM

I love playing Pull My Strings on guitar. It's easy to play (minus the awesome solo) and it's a great song.

I've come to this realization as well.
You cannot beat the DK Nerd.
Are they your favorite band?

Brain Toad 12-30-2005 01:42 AM

I should post this in this thread.

My allmighty DK collection:

I told him if there was such a thing as a DK nerd, he'd be it in the vinyl thread.

ninja edit: For fuck's sake, cut it out.
I told him if there was such a thing as a DK nerd, he'd be it in the vinyl thread.
Ah, I see.

Brain Toad 12-30-2005 01:43 AM
Are they your favorite band?
Yes. There is only few bands I'd rather listen to than them (Johnny Cash and Beatles mainly), but I'd always choose DK over anything else

Brain Toad 12-30-2005 01:52 AM

I'm finding loads of DK **** on eBay I want. I think I may spend some money soon.

Liebensaft 12-30-2005 01:54 AM
I'm finding loads of DK **** on eBay I want. I think I may spend some money soon.
And you don't think this is even a little excessive?

Brain Toad 12-30-2005 01:58 AM
And you don't think this is even a little excessive?
:p

I won't spend over $15 for a record, hence why I haven't bought the $30 copies of Frankenchrist + Poster I've seen. That's just unreasonable, even for my favourite record. I'm a bargainer at heart from years of going to toy and antique shows, so I like cheap stuff.

I bought most of my DK stuff from ebay.

Angry Balled Fists! 12-30-2005 12:13 PM

I have Plastic Surgery Disasters and In God We Trust Inc as one album, so it's cool.

Buzzbomb 12-30-2005 12:20 PM

Nick, can you explain the three copies of Frankenchrist?

Liebensaft 12-30-2005 12:58 PM

They're all different releases, and he was hoping to find the one with the orignal phallic poster that caused quite a bit of uproar.

White 12-30-2005 03:22 PM

I liek Dead Kennedys, Im not much of a Punk Music Fan, But I really like therre stuff

Brain Toad 12-30-2005 04:56 PM
Nick, can you explain the three copies of Frankenchrist?
Joe explained it, but I'll go more in detail.

One in the middle is the remaster reissue from Manifesto records. The two on the ends are Alternative Tentacles releases. I bought both hoping to get the poster, but it's only in the vinyl. But I ended up keeping them both because one is an orginial CD release and the other seems to be an AT reissue or just a different copy because the CD and back case are different then the other two.

And all my CDs and Vinyls are Manifesto releases unfortunely, except Bedtime which is an AT release. I'm hoping to get vinyl ATs soon.
I have Plastic Surgery Disasters and In God We Trust Inc as one album, so it's cool.
That's the only way to get it on CD. I don't like it like that, because PSD obviously ends with Moon Over Marin and even has the ghost from Christmas past talking again and it's just wrong for it to jump right into IGWTI.

sketchyjoe 12-30-2005 05:02 PM

That and IGWTI should be before PSD.

Brain Toad 12-30-2005 05:07 PM
That and IGWTI should be before PSD.
That too. I don't understand why they grouped them on CD, since Manifesto re-released IGWTI as a vinyl seperate from PSD.

I have that record:cool:

Also, Holiday in Cambodia is a ****ing awesome song. Something about makes me all warm inside.

Angry Balled Fists! 12-31-2005 07:30 AM

Oh man, i'm loving Buzzbomb, Moon over Marin, Terminal Preppie and I am the owl.

BTW, What is GMCOGMD ?

Is it a best of ?

Berserker! 12-31-2005 08:51 AM

No, normal album I think.

Mild Child 12-31-2005 09:36 AM

lol. I love the part in riot where they play dragnet and Jello goes 'S'hit!'

It humours me.

Mild Child 12-31-2005 09:37 AM

not really, it's more 'B-Sides and other Rarities'. People always say it's their Best Of when there's only two actual singles on it (Holiday in Cambodia and California Uber Alles)

but Pull My Strings is hot.
