yeah anyway herrs hwat u need to do stop comparing angus to other guitarists its pointless evry giuitarist is talented in different ways

rippa32 03-20-2005 12:57 AM

Yeah sorry. I kinda got caught up, I don't usually say stuff like that.

MASTER_OF_PUPPETS21 03-20-2005 01:09 AM

i think angus is one of the biggest underrated guitarists

rippa32 03-21-2005 03:05 AM

You and everyone else. Which kinda makes him not underrated. But who really cares?

Rattlehead 03-21-2005 03:34 AM
yeah anyway herrs hwat u need to do stop comparing angus to other guitarists its pointless evry giuitarist is talented in different ways
-well said. but HEY! lets conclude this: angus is a gr8 guitarist and musician, and where he has his rare weaknesses as a guitarist he sure can perform!

rippa32 03-21-2005 04:43 AM

Can people please stop rating Angus. Ill admit I used to do it but its really getting annoying, he isnt the only member of AC/DC.

Rattlehead 03-21-2005 04:59 AM

yea soz malcoms tha founder.

bowling_for_soup 03-21-2005 05:50 AM

personally AC/DC are a great band.
I like the whole thing about the songs sounding repetitive beacause thats what keeps me interested in them. Ive been into a few bands and gone off them as they bring out a new songs thats completely different n crappy then start doing loads of them so it puts me off them, thats one of the reasons i like them.

angus-young 03-21-2005 06:00 AM

the dude who started this thread is a complete *** hole ac/dc are the ownage so screw you ya hoe !!!!
Whole lotta rosie is the best ac/dc song btw

rippa32 03-22-2005 01:56 AM

Yeah the fact about the starter has been established quite a few times.

rippa32 03-23-2005 03:53 AM

So has anyone seen the DVD after Donnington (I cant remember the name). Is it any good?

Bon_Scottie 03-26-2005 06:11 AM

Not sure which DVD that is...

I've ordered my copy of AC/DC - Family Jewles though. Should be here day after release, so probably on the 29th of this month.

Looks an amazing DVD.

IMO_Eclipse 03-26-2005 07:44 PM

Ya, I've seen it, i think it's from their Stiff Upper Lip Tour, I suppose it's not to bad, it takes place in uhhh i think Germany, dont mark my words.....but ya it's not to bad, Angus like usual has an amazing performance, even at his old age.

In response to the thread starter......Ac/Dc was my first "old" band i listened to, and it has broadened my musical taste, heck i never even knew who Zeppelin was before Ac/Dc.............their music may not be the hardest to play, but what is music, it shouldn't be judged as to how hard it is to play, or how simple the song structure is, IMO music is just expressing one's self, and take it or leave it IMO Ac/Dc has been putting out this greta music for yrs., god bless em lol

Fisrt Post.....lol

acdcroker 03-26-2005 08:57 PM

I think AC/DC is one of the greatest hard rock bands in rock n' roll history. Angus isn't over rated i think he's maybe even under rated Angus has so many trademarks and is fun to watch. AC/DC songs sometimes sound the same but who cares a lot of bands do. AC/DC is AWESOME! :thumb:

Best summing up of music in general I have ever heard. But as for the DVD I was reffering the one filmed on the ballbreaker tour which is before Stiff Upper Lip and after the donnington one.

AB/CD 03-27-2005 08:22 AM

no bull good show the wrecking ball is great brian sings while sitting on it emm all the usual stuff rosie an all then angus goes trhough a gap in theaudience on a agurds shoulders great songs to u have hail ceaser hard as a rock ballbreaker and all the obvious ones aswell

Bon_Scottie 03-27-2005 08:26 AM

Oh yeah, I've seen the Stiff upper lip tour DVD.

I liked it. Brian tends to scream down the mic a lot through out the show, but all in all a great concert. Angus has one crazy solo in between a song where he walks up a huge path, and then after he's span on the floor and gone right into the crowd, he comes back and goes up an elevator on stage.

Can't wait for my AC/DC Family Jewels to come...

AB/CD 03-27-2005 09:16 AM

that solo is done in them iddle of let there be rock he always does it in the middle of that song

rippa32 03-28-2005 07:30 PM

Yeah its just like For those about to Rock ends every show. But strangely it didn't end Stiff Upper Lip, oh well.

maddog87 03-28-2005 07:35 PM

i finally got family jewels. it totally rocks more than any video they have.

rippa32 03-28-2005 07:47 PM

It was getting kinda slow but I have posted in it now.

Ulysses 03-29-2005 06:44 PM

I don't think Family Jewels has been released in Australia as yet. I recieved an email from the offical AC/DC website concerning it and can't wait to get my hands around some Bon Scott material, especially Riff Raff. Can't wait to see that track on a dvd.

rippa32 03-30-2005 04:01 AM

My friends dad used to have the High Voltage VHS. But he lost it. Bugger.

MotoX-27 03-30-2005 05:49 AM

All of you who say ANgus is overated, have you ever seen him improvise live? Its amazing how well he can play, hes actualy a much better guitarist than what he lets on to be in their albums.

rippa32 03-30-2005 05:57 AM

You have no idea how many people have said the same thing before you.

AB/CD 03-30-2005 06:37 AM

my science teacher is a big AC/DC fan which is good cos i can distract him with them hwne he comes over to see how much work ive done :naughty:

Ulysses 03-30-2005 09:57 PM
My friends dad used to have the High Voltage VHS. But he lost it. Bugger.
You can hire High Voltage on video from a local library close to where I live, It's really good seeing their earlier material live.
and i care because?
What the fuck is your moron ass doing here if you don't care what other people have to say? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe that's the entire point of a forum.

AB/CD 03-31-2005 08:50 AM

my science teaher got family jewels before me but hes lending me it which is great stuff for me

wazzacky 03-31-2005 06:12 PM

bringing this back (it hooks up wit my thread)

AC/DC is one of the most influetial rock bands in the old days, BUT they are not the best, there are tons of bands that hit the big time with better songs but acdc's way of music just caught people of hook with incredibly easy stuff.

yes they're stuff does get repeptive but i listed the best songs they have...
Highway to hell, back in black, shook me, thunderstruck,TNT,hellsbells.

SuperGrover66 03-31-2005 07:27 PM

I reckon that Ac/dc were pretty awesome and have got to be one of the best bands to come out of Australia. They used to be one of my favourite bands but now they just annoy me. It's not so much the band and the music that annoys me, but the people who go on about them when really they don't have a clue about the band and have only heard a few songs.

Brewer14 03-31-2005 07:34 PM

so could anyone who has Family Jewels tell me how good it is? Its only $10, so im buying it regardless, but I wanna know if its totally kickass or just good (cause nothin by ac/dc is bad ;) )

PyRoMaNiA674 03-31-2005 07:55 PM

ac/dc is probably one of the best bands ever, some people just dont know good music. And how can anyone say Angus isnt a good guitar player, listen to some of his solos,( you'll probably say i already did ) but if you say that and still dont like them you dont know good music.

rippa32 03-31-2005 08:16 PM

will people please stop telling everybody else to listen to Angus's solos? Its really getting annoying.
