Resistant Culture ****ing rules. Ya know what? Crust and Grind in general rules. But there are times when I get tired of the heavy guitars and brutal growls. So I listen to some classic rock or 70's. You gotta keep an open mind, after all.
Resistant Culture rule so much, but I have yet to listen to the 4-way split they did. I like my stuff really heavy, although I too get burned out on it every so often. Thus I put some good 'ol hip-hop or some old school hardcore punk. :thumb: |
I never get sick of br00tal guitars and growling.
|
justin = tr00 necro
|
Hell yes Ben, Hell yes.
|
I get sick of growling. I am a puss.
|
Growling is awesome.
I get sick of growling. I am a puss.
i never get sick of growling if it is done right and doesnt sound like shit. |
Yeah, bad growls suck, but I don't get sick of good ones.
|
yeah i know what you mean. like last night this guy made his voice sound so contrived i went outside and got high during the rest of their set then left because the next band sucked as well. damn local music sucks.
|
Local music does suck balls.
|
I just met a kid in a power violence band called RL Stine I think. He said they're playing in the talent show, so it should be good.
|
If a power violence band wanted to play at my school's talent show, they would DEFINITELY get rejected, because my school is gay.
|
I dont think my school will.
I guess they're pretty br00tal too. |
Power violence is always br00tal.
|
Well, theres pussy grind/pv like Anal Cunt, and then there's BR00TAL DETH GRIND like some of those other silly bands you tlak about.
|
I'm close friends with a power violence band (Deaf Gordon) and oddly enough they get a good share of kids in the area who like what they're doing. And these kids have no clue what grind is, of course.
|
I wish there were some good local grind bands. That would rule. All of the local music around here is pop-punk and metalcore.
|
Deaf Gordon's pretty frigging awesome but the mp3s don't do them justice.
http://www.myspace.com/deafgordon if you're interested though. |

That is an awesome band name. |
They're pretty good.

http://www.geocities.com/spaztikcolongrind These dudes rule, but they need to get some mp3s up. I have a copy of a practice tape they made but never released, 60 min of unrelenting idiotic grind, hahaha. |
That is an awesome band name.
Ha, I thought so too. We're in Florida though so we put up with a lot of annoying race fans. At the show last night there was a friend of mine who was dressed as Dale Earnhardt. She came with someone dressed as "the wall". |
Spaztik Colon Grind. I'd like to hear some of their stuff. I love idiotic grind.

Actually the name is just Spaztik Colon, but if and when I actually find that copy of the tape I'll dub it onto my PC and post up the mp3s. I might just ask them to give me another copy. |
That would be much appreciated.
|
anyone heard anything about the piggy d splits that are supposed to be happening? i heard about em when i did my FA in HC forum but beyond that i havnt heard a word on them.
|
Is there any crust I should listen to besides Amebix and Caustic Christ? Or Aus Rotten, but I don't count them as crust.
|
Doom
Extreme Noise Terror |
Anyone like Kylesa?
Or State of Fear? |

http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=211847
Anyone like Kylesa?
I was gonna see Kylesa with Coliseum, but no cash. :upset:
Or State of Fear?
I bought their discography on 12" vinyl this summer at Chaos in Tejas. :thumb: |
Shiiiiit, there's no way I could miss a show like that. I'd go spange at the door or some ****. Just like I had no money for Artemis Pyle/Caustic Christ; I just went.
|
I remember a couple months ago, I went to see this new band in xLancasterx called "Dressed To Kill." On the flyer it said "new Lancaster grindcore band." More like new Lancaster generic metalcore band. I was so dissapointed.

haha, I would, but the show ain't hitting up my city. I'd have to drive 2 hours to get there. Although, hopefully, if I have enough cash, I'll be going to this: http://www.daytonahc.com/thisisforyou |
Holy crap J, you must attend and tell me how it was.
|
Oh my god, dude, go. I mean, RAMBO, Kylesa, Brain Damage, and sooooo many more. If you don't go, I will kill you for the straight up stupitidy of it all.
|

I'm trying my best to save money up, and it's fucking hard to do so without a job, but no one will hire a dirty spic. haha.
Oh my god, dude, go. I mean, RAMBO, Kylesa, Brain Damage, and sooooo many more. If you don't go, I will kill you for the straight up stupitidy of it all.
I really want to go see R.A.M.B.O. as I missed them when they hit TX. Main problem with saving up the cash to go, though, is that my family has been having money problems as of a few months ago, so all my money is available to my family if we need to buy groceries or make a payment. That's my main priority right now. I'm helping as much as I can for us not to lose our house. Although, if all goes well and I have enough cash, I'll be in attendance. |
I just found out Phobia are playing really close later this month at an anarcho punk fest.
