i am the robots 10-02-2007 02:54 PM

Try Silencer (from Sweden).

Tyler 10-02-2007 02:57 PM

Silencer is hilarious, the vocalist should just kill himself and get it over with.

Correct. Day of Darkness "Festifall"

Beherit is side B

Impaled Nazarene is side A

Thanks, I'm getting it now. I want to see how Beherit are live.

FatalEnergy 10-02-2007 03:39 PM

It's great, both sides.

agreed. my friend on myspace posted a bulletin yesterday that said Silencer: this band is so awesome i want to kill someone or myself. that brought the lulz for me.

sweboy 10-02-2007 04:15 PM

Any bands out there that I would dig if I dig Wolves in the Throne Room?

TojesDolan 10-02-2007 04:26 PM

those shoegaze fags alcest

LifeInABox 10-02-2007 04:27 PM

Ehhh, yeah I spose.

Equus 10-02-2007 04:27 PM

not really

LifeInABox 10-02-2007 04:28 PM

I would say it's questionable.

Try Belenos, Forest Silence, Nachtmystium's latest, Negura Bunget , etc.

Not exactly the same but I think you'd like what they're doing, barring Negura Bunget maybe. And yeah maybe Alcest too.

TojesDolan 10-02-2007 04:31 PM

Eh, Belenos is good times.

Not that I'm agreeing with a canadian fag.

Just saying he might or might not be right once.

Nachtmystium for sure.

I love Instinct: Decay so much... them, WITTR and Crebain are really the only USBM I can stand any more. Instinct: Decay is so different from any other black metal too, it's really fresh and new when you first start to listen to it.

Nothing Tyler. :(

I'm just tired I'm sorry.

:(

Nostalgia 10-02-2007 04:35 PM

Alcest sucks besides one release. Get Tristesse Hivernale, though it's very raw compared to any Wolves in the Throne Room album, so you may not like it.

Don't bother with his new release, which is just one song repeated over 5 tracks.

Tyler 10-02-2007 04:35 PM

Nachtmystium need to stop intentionally shitting up their production values though. I heard a really awesome rehearsal for a song off an upcoming split. It was clear and really solid, and then they put up the final version and it sounded like complete ***.

They're much much much better live. Azentrius' vocals are absolutely incredible... and you can hear everything much clearer. But their live performance just made me go home and want to listen to I: D more and more

souvenirs would be so much better if he did something besides clean vocals the whole time

Stormrider 10-02-2007 04:39 PM

Tristesse Hivernale is a good demo.

I agree.

This is the reason that I like Amesoeurs much more than Alcest. Neige's screams are really good.

Angmar 10-02-2007 04:42 PM

Yah they are.

Equus 10-02-2007 04:50 PM

also the drums and acoustic guitars sound like ****

Angmar 10-02-2007 04:52 PM

The acoustic guitars are fine IMO, but the amazingness of the album really wares away after listening to it for awhile. It's still a good album though.

Equus 10-02-2007 04:56 PM

the acoustics sound like some crappy electro-acoustic plugged into a crappy amp

NemesisDivina 10-02-2007 04:59 PM

Souvenirs d'Un Autre Monde basically just sounds like a bland album that got beefed up with "different" and "weird" things and suddenly people are clamouring all over each other and jizzing on Neige's shoes for something that isn't nearly as good as it could have been.

Tyler 10-02-2007 05:00 PM

And since Neige is French, I reckon his shoes are expensive, couture designer. I reckon he doesn't take kindly to them being jizzed on.
