Yeah, that's the best way to do it. Even with a sewing machine they still end up fraying. I use fabric glue to hold them on, and the patches almost outlast the pants.
Getting a really big mohawk is a process of hairspray, blowing drying, hair spraying again...
I dont like the feeling of "hard" hair or whatever though.
One of my friends uses elmers glue |
what brand of stand up does the bassist for tiger army use ?
|
You can spray the edges with anti-fraying spray
You can fold the edges over to the back, and sew them on that way.You can trim the edges (this only prevents it temporarily)
That way looks the best even if its not fraying. You could just wash them like I do. |
i just fold over to the back and sew...but i got lazy with my Flux of Pink Indians patch...oh well...
|
how do I sew cloth patches on so they stop fraying? I have to hand sew it, I don't have a sewing machine...
some (!) you can burn ever so slightly to melt the strings together, do it with a lighter, and have either A) water or B) rain around, B worked fine for me |

wash it every other day. washing it every day deprives it of essential nutrients and drys it out. |
Truth. If you have a good amount of hair and don't put anything in it (gel, hair spray, etc) then its best not to wash it every day.
|
I have to wash my hair everyday or it gets disgusting.

i dont shower lol (well after work i shower but thats only twice a week)

I didn't read through the whole **** thing-- sorry. What's the best way to paint a leather jacket? I want to paint all the border stuff white (sorry if you don't know what I'm talking about.) Anyway, I used masking tape to tape off the **** i didn't want white and used spray paint. But it kind of ran and I got fuzzy lines and spray paint on parts of my jacket I didn't want it on. Also, how do you put studs on a jacket with lining, how do you put patches on a leather jacket, and are there any good online places to buy a leather jacket cheap (I live in missoula ****ing montana, there are very few good thrift shops around here.) Thanks for any help/ referring.

Your best bet is to hand paint with a brush, that way you can get straight lines. If you are putting studs on a jacket with lining, just make the sure the lining isnt scrunnched up around where the stud is going, and just push it through. For patches, just sew them, it may be a bit harder since leather is think, but you'll get it. YOU SIR, F'UCKING ROCK (done with the caps.) I knew you were cool because you like Hank Williams and then you provided a good, concise, answer. Thank you.

Also http://www.studsandspikes.com is a great site for well... studs and spikes that way you can be a little more creative when making a jacket instead of buying one off the internet they also have some cool patches and free suicide girls stickers when you buy something.
