Hahahaha, I remember that Elvish girl. You brang her up awhile ago.

AA-12 09-23-2007 12:43 AM

I can't lie she's sounds hot :||||||||||

Angmar 09-23-2007 12:44 AM

Ugh, I played Tyranids for awhile, I hated them tbh. They have so many rules that come back to bite them in the ***. I mean their kinda cool, but Chaos Space Marines was way more fun for me.

Tyler 09-23-2007 12:45 AM

She really wasn't. She was like one of those really creepy girls that lives in the middle of nowhere and sits by her fireplace reading the Silmarillion all night before practising her irish folk dancing and writing children's stories.

She also used to draw horses and unicorns all over the school, like, massive ones.

Tyranids are like RAPING WAR PESTILENCE ARRRRRRRGHH

I can tell i'm going to get owned for a while until I figure them out, haha

Angmar 09-23-2007 12:47 AM

You will, Tyranids are an army that you will suck badly at when you start. Either you will be like me, and continue suck forever with them, or you will become unbeatable with them.

Oh well, it should still be fun. The general tactical approach with them really appeals to my style so hopefully that will aid me a bit.

EDIT: Have you seen the 40K Apocalypse stuff?

that's not as bad as the weaboo chicks I've seen when I was in high school. There were these chicks that were super obsessed with anime and walked around school wearing fake fangs and dressing up in weird clothes...

i am the robots 09-23-2007 01:15 AM

High on Fire was really good.

Mono was amazing live.

Kage 09-23-2007 01:52 AM

Mono is indeed amazing live. Still one of my favorite bands I've seen live.

Permanent Solution 09-23-2007 01:58 AM

I was really shocked, I was sort of under the impression seeing a band like that live at a bar or something would kind of blow, but it was really great anyways. Plus the girl is super friendly which is always nice. The bassist and guitarist from High on Fire were just amazingly friendly though, like buying drinks for people and such and chatting with them. Very cool.

AA-12 09-23-2007 01:58 AM

I really need to check out High on Fire

Permanent Solution 09-23-2007 02:03 AM

I rather enjoy them. Not like for an everyday listen or anything but in the right mood it's great stuff.

Kage 09-23-2007 02:05 AM

I never thought they were that great.

i am the robots 09-23-2007 02:10 AM

High On Fire isn't amazing but they're good.

Permanent Solution 09-23-2007 02:11 AM

Yes but you have weird taste in music =|

=)

I dunno I like that they're doomy but still have really catchy hooks thrown in every once in awhile.

Bazarov 09-23-2007 03:12 AM

dead thread is dead.

I met me some Alex the other day. We walked around one of the nicer parts of Pittsburgh while he acquainted me with everything that goes on around here. We managed to kill most all of friday just by walking around the square and talking about anything and everything. He's a pretty damn fascinating guy. But I must say, his mannerisms in person don't match up to his online persona at all!

At any rate, this is my second time meeting up with someone I met on mx. So far this one looks to be much more successful.

TojesDolan 09-23-2007 03:21 AM

haisd guysz auim druamnkl

Meh, not really. I'm sober but I had a nice time out with some old friends. It was fun. :)

Even though I don't know much, it is to a certain extent. 40K is much more fluid and relaxed though.[/QUOTE]

How do you figure?

Tyr 09-23-2007 08:44 AM

Okay, so this place is dead.

Alex as in Steerpike?

Angmar 09-23-2007 10:49 AM

Yeah they go to the same college now I believe and I saw them talking about meeting up in some thread awhile ago.

Shattered_Future 09-23-2007 11:33 AM

So, I had my first experience with college applications today.

THEY SUCK.

Plus, they suck more because of my neck hurting from Arch Enemy last night.

Permanent Solution 09-23-2007 11:34 AM

Is anyone here doing grad school applications?

Eliminator 09-23-2007 11:39 AM

TojesDolan 09-23-2007 11:43 AM
