I'm really glad that when I joined I just decided to use my AIM screen name for my user name. Otherwise it would have been like LedZeppelin5 or JohnBonham something.

CemetaryGates9 05-15-2005 01:10 PM

When I very first joined (September 2002) I was an even lower quality poster than I am now, but my music tastes weren't bad.
Please do. I would love to see that. Just make sure to include at the end the date (2 weeks from posting) that a new FG should be up and include my email address (peter.mchugh@gmail.com)
Ok, that sounds good. It might take a while though :/

I look forward to reading it :)
And good luck with you exams and stuff.

We don't need another until May 29 anyway.

Illmatic 05-15-2005 01:21 PM

Bush?

Ah yes, the band that killed grunge.

"Wait...if a bunch of good-looking art-school students from England can sound the same as a bunch of depressed heroin addicts from Seattle, what's the fucking point?"

And yet I digress.

I apologized to her machine last night (and didn't get a response :-\ ), but today she called me back and apologized to me, voice-to-voice (I guess that's how you would put it)

I also got "Substance" by Joy Division and "OK Computer" by Radiohead today.

Good luck on your exams, Joe.

Bartender 05-15-2005 01:32 PM

I never knew Bush were British.

EDIT: Nice choice in OK Computer. I don't quite think it's the album-deity many seem to, but it's still great.

Dancin' Man 05-15-2005 01:36 PM

I still think they're cool.

I've decided that I can't stand my significant other not being physically affectionate. I need them to want to touch and be touched, not in a sexual way so much as an... affectionate one. Example - yesterday I was walking with The Girl (who is becoming more and more like a girlfriend, though we need to talk about it because my parents keep asking about her and if she is or not. Apparently The Girl's mother said something to my mom) and it started to pour so, in proper movie fashion, she took my hand. I don't think we had ever held hands before that, at least not when we weren't sitting together (which is more like her sprawled across me. I don't care so long as I'm comfortable) but it was just one of those things where it felt right. This is a ramble that has sort of strayed form the original focus. Anyone else like physical affection?

Simple Man 05-15-2005 01:38 PM

Ah, nothing is going on in other forums, How is everyone?

Yeah, my name is terrible, and I can't get it changed. I've asked about three times. :upset:

I have only felt like that once, and for some reason it burns, as if you have to do it. I do like physical affection to, i certainly need it in a relationship with someone.

Also, hardcore new avatar!

Firecracker 05-15-2005 01:41 PM

I've just been listening to an In Flames track, and i hit myself for not getting into them earlier.

Illmatic 05-15-2005 01:42 PM
[long story]

Anyone else like physical affection?
I love it too. It's one of my favorite parts about being in a relationship. I can't explain why it's so great, but it just is. It's also why
A) I can't stand my girlfriend being 3,000 miles away (as she is now...she's coming out here for the end of the month though, so it's all good)
B) I don't like talking to her on the phone all that much
EDIT: Nice choice in OK Computer. I don't quite think it's the album-deity many seem to, but it's still great.
It loses some steam in the second half, but it's still very good.

I was just about to say something about it, It's awesome.

EDIT: Joe, Where'd you get it?

It turned out that I can dance, and I had fun doing it. And while I didn't get any at the afterparty (which didn't matter to me), I still got wasted. And it was fun.

Dancin' Man 05-15-2005 02:10 PM

Dancing is fun. People who don't do it are lame.

GurS 05-15-2005 02:15 PM

thus, you aren't lame, right, dancing man?

Illmatic 05-15-2005 02:18 PM

When it comes to dancing, it all depends on the music for me.

Firecracker 05-15-2005 02:19 PM

I nearly got up and danced to Shania Twain the other day.
She rules.

Dancin' Man 05-15-2005 02:20 PM

For me, it's mood. I can't dance when in a bad mood. I have to be in an exceptional mood (or high) to be able to dance to music I don't like (reggae, jam bands).

Ray - I figured you would understand me rant better than most.

I just hit a squirrel with an apple. It was stealing from our bird feeder and it was fat so I chased it then threw an apple at it.

ATM 05-15-2005 02:20 PM

I'm not a very good dancer. I actually used to break dance

Now at dances, I'm just one of those guys that lets the girl do all of the work.

Everything_and_Nothing_3:15 05-15-2005 02:22 PM

How bout that hardcore dancing and that stuff they call moshing
