There's a lot my parents don't really know about me I guess, they don't really know much about my general outlook on life and religion or even a good deal of my political beliefs. It kinda sucks because I feel like I have to keep things from them about myself in order to keep their trust, I'm just kinda trying to let them know things slowly without scaring them too much.

The religion thing will probably wait until I'm out of school.

My parents just make everything awkward when I want to tell them something, like about a girl or anything, they're way too nosy and I'm a really private person and they know this yet still push me about certain things and it really irritates me.

Yeah, those are the 3 main things where me and my parents both have really different views and I'm not really sure how to approach it, I think that sexuality would be the easiest because unless they're really ignorant they should be aware that I'm not a virgin and I have sex.

They mostly let me do my own thing and don't bother me. They only get strict when it comes to money, legal stuff and school.

That's my plan for the big issues, I want to minimize any chance of them wanting to stop backing my education financially because of philosophical issues. I don't think they would cut me off but generally I want to avoid harsh personal conflict in my life as much as possible, I intend to ease them into these subjects slowly over time but right now I just need to make sure they know I'm responsible and can be counted on.

The drugs thing is tough, over the summer my Mom found out about me smoking pot and had a really illogical and emotional reaction to it, she didn't tell my dad thankfully but I had to lie to her to make her happy.

i dont think i'll ever find out what a condom is like because any girl thats slutty enough to be interested in me is on birth control or doesn't care about getting pregnant

I spend a lot of time thinking about talking points to use on my parents to try and reveal stuff about myself to them should they find out in an indirect way, I just hate the feeling of having to keep from my parents and other immediate family members who I really am and putting on this face for them to try and keep their trust.

I'm private in certain aspects and think people shouldn't try and pry information out of others but it's healthy to talk about life stuff with people, especially close friends you trust.
