Ive got special powers....

hehe, Ronald was telling me last night. He said he had to leave early to get his train though
That guy! He didn't say a word to me :D
He said that he would come.. maybe. But now he came and I didn't had the opportunity to say hi to him. Too bad.

If I knew somebody from MX was watching I would have played better :naughty:

Rollo47 05-21-2005 08:01 AM

Woozle Wuzzle.
Anyone ever snapped his bass string for just a 'normal' reason? So whithout abusing it or having things on his saddles?

:smoke:
I've never snapped a string on my Spector, only on my squier (saddle anomolie and playing with a pick)

Now I just have a large collection of dead sounding rotosounds in my cupboard!

Rollo47 05-21-2005 08:02 AM

YIM jam, anyone?

kilian 05-21-2005 08:05 AM
Is a normal reason like... tuning it really far up...?
No :smoke:
Just playing in EADG

I am wondering, because I don't have a backup bass and I totally rely on one bass :thumb:

Convectuoso 05-21-2005 08:08 AM

****it Wintermute I was just going to tell Eddie to take it easy :thumb:

Convectuoso 05-21-2005 08:11 AM

So how's the casual doing anyways?

PaulR 05-21-2005 08:11 AM

That thread was stupid.

But it made me laugh.

Rollo47 05-21-2005 08:13 AM

The casual in my part of the world is doing fine. Though, no one can listen to my new track because SoundClick is broke.

Convectuoso 05-21-2005 08:15 AM

I'll be the first when it's up and running :)

Rollo47 05-21-2005 08:16 AM

Sounds good :)

Rollo47 05-21-2005 08:17 AM

I can send it to you if you have YIM or MSN.

Convectuoso 05-21-2005 08:19 AM

I have msn Apathy_is_a_Cold_Body (at) hotmail.com

(Am I allowed to do that haha I thought I saw a rule somewhere about it?)

Edit: thanks for the 'at' help Jamie

PaulR 05-21-2005 08:20 AM

A rule about what?

And...a poison the well fan?

Awesome.

Convectuoso 05-21-2005 08:21 AM

I went through a phase of loving them to bits.

Nerdy pwns all.

Edit: A rule about posting your email. I don't know maybe I dreamt it...

Jamie 05-21-2005 08:22 AM

Well, Ive gotten beyond the point of annoyed at the electronics in my Spector.. Im going to rip em all out and start again from scratch, but passive. Where can I buy some potentimeters (sp) in the UK? I need 2 Linear and 2 Largarithic? (sp? ) pots along with some capacitors (Im not sure what values) and some wires..

I think you're allowed to, id recommend to put (at) instead of @ because spam bots search the internet for email addresses..

fatbandit 05-21-2005 08:50 AM

Ya, my E snapped ina band practice. I don't think I was playing any more aggressively than usual, but it just went. Only other time its happened is with uptuning.

fatbandit 05-21-2005 08:52 AM

These are with Ernie Ball Super Slinkies. Not exactly cheap, but not like Elixir expensive.

Gackt 05-21-2005 08:55 AM

I just snapped my E again.... bah i should really get a real bass lol

peeted 05-21-2005 09:01 AM

Convectuoso 05-21-2005 09:28 AM

Edit:Bit late on the reply

Left Shoe 05-21-2005 09:32 AM

how long without sleeping?

fatbandit 05-21-2005 09:38 AM

Thomastik Jazz Flatwound Bass 5 string
43-136. 43, 56, 70, 100, 136.

Hm, the only ones I found which are the right gauge (I need the 135+ gauge B)...

Anyone know anything about Thomastik? Because this is an experiment, but a damned fucking expensive one. about 40 quid for a set of strings I may hate...

Left Shoe 05-21-2005 09:40 AM

hates a strong word , you might just dislike them =P i say try em out

fatbandit 05-21-2005 09:47 AM

Psh, I think I'll make a thread about it... Just to be different from the hundreds of other 'what strings?' threads around. Someone on here must have had experience with Thomastik.

I also need to stop starting nearly everything I write on here and on msn with 'psh'.
