I'd wait until you had a better idea of when the new album was coming out. Whether it's one month, or 9 months, it'll still be hard and build lots of anticipation. Either that, or I'm thinking of excuses to listen to Tool...
You'll probably turn into an angry... person.
I just would try not to come to this thread
That's the key. Every time I come into this thread and we're talking about Tool I get the urge to listen to them. If I hid my Tool CDs and didn't see anything about them on the internet or elsewhere, I could probably go as long as three or so months. |
Somedays I just wake up with a tool song stuck in my head... usually the patient or the grudge or 46&2... then I listen, but I can read about them all I want and I'll never have an urge to listen... unless its something like "new demo of new song posted here!"
|
I haven't listened to Tool in a full week. Mostly because of work, and the plethora of music I've been getting.
|
I listened to Lateralus yesterday.
I'd say I listen to a Tool CD about every three to four days at this point. |
Oh man Tool is awesome I at least listen to them once a day definitly in my top 5 favourite Bands fav songs from them are Third Eye,Laterulus,Ticks And Leeches and Triad
|
During school, I occaisionally get the urge to desperately listen to a certain song. It ranges from Slipknot to Tool. About a week or so ago, I had the insane urge to listen to 46&2. When I got home, I ran inside, popped Ænima in, and sat for a while in a state of Euphoria.
Sad, eh? |
im starting to really get into tool now,i like the spoongs stinkfist,h,forty six and 2,prison sex, sweat, hush, schism, and much more

Cheers :thumb: |

Nobody really has any idea when its going to come out. They keep fuc*king around, they know how to make their fans really want an album to be released. |
Tell me about it, oh well... :(
|
Btw I got given (thats right given) two copies of limited edition Aenima now I have one copy still but I basically sold theother two my mate for 10 $ cause it was in bad condition.
Should I ask for it back and get it cleaned up and sell it for more, or is it just not worth it. If you want to know what it looks like. Its has two or one (I can't tell) white people-looking things that look like they are doing extreme yoga and on the case there is a hologram of what looks like california being flooded whe you move it around in the light. |

Sad, eh?
That happens with me all the time, with many different bands. Yesterday, for example, I had the extreme urge to listen to the song Deliverance by Opeth at school and I couldn't stop singing it in my head until I got home and immediately put it in. Usually when it happens with Tool, it's with Stinkfist or Lateralus' title track. I don't think they ever released a limited edition Ænima. I don't know, I might be wrong though.
Somebody check the Tool FAQ, I'm too lazy to do it now  |
There is a sorta limited edition Ænima CD, with a holographic front. In England, it adds about £5 to the price, yet offers no new songs/material of any kind. Just a groovey looking cover

Those are prevalent in the US... In fact, I only saw holographic ones at the NEwbury Comics I always go to. |

I remember in a shop once the slip cover for lateralus was took off and it was 25 euro and albums usually cost 21 euro and I have seen lateralus for 21 euro. |
In Australia the standard album cover is just the still box thing, which featured not Eye. However, I now also have the holographic cover with the moving box thing and the moving Aenima eyes in the background, which added about $10 to the price.
|
The holographic thing is the standard release in the US. It's all I've seen at least, and it costs the normal price of a CD.
|
So... Tool thinks they can cheat us bogan Aussies out of a holographic cover aye...
Well, I guess they did, there's a number of people I know that have never heard of the 'Aenima Eye' |
Yeah the holographic thing is really cool, you stick other pictures under it and they go all 3d to. :D

Woo! It's about time we got some retribution for getting albums a day late! |
Maynard is naked in one of them. Teehee! :naughty:
hes also throwing roses i think towards the contortionist. i love changing those covers, my fav is the eye. |
I usually keep mine on the big eye.

Long time no post in the Tool thread.
If someone would post, updating me as to what's going on with the Tool cover tracks, I would appreciate it. I have started working long days, and then I have band practice at night, so, I haven't had much time to do Tool stuff... This weekend, I'm hitting the studio with my band, so I doubt I can do much...but don't think I've forgotten about our little project...I know there are still people waiting it out for more bass...I've not forgotten your requests, I've just been real busy  |
