cb what kind of bass do you play and why don't you post in my humble forum?

I just have a Squier P-Bass right now. I plan on buying a Jazz Bass pretty soon. My bass actually broke (again) when I played with the dudes from Joey Crown on friday. I had stepped on the input cord liek a couple months ago and cracked the pick guard around the input area (the second time I've done that but this time I ripped the input clear out of the bass. Need to get that repaired soon because I have a show this friday.

HomeCatMickey8 02-12-2006 08:11 PM

I'm a bad bassist...

If you want to hear me at my best, go to my myspace in a few minutes (have to upload song really quick) and listen to my Chick Magnet cover... Plug your ears when the vocals join in.

Oh yeah, you'll need the link to my myspace... silly me

I've only heard their newest album, and I wasn't really into it. I just downloaded one of their other albums though, so I'm going to give it a chance.

bottlerocket 02-12-2006 08:13 PM

I play a Schecter Stiletto Elite 5 and a Fender Jazz Bass with DiMarzio Ultra Jazz pickups.

Aw, lame...borrow a bass.

Yeah, the J is that all around bass that suits everything, really. I play my J and my Schecter in my experimental grind/rock/hardcore/jazz band and it's pretty sweet...we transition from sounds a lot so with a few quick rolls of the knobs I get a sick tone.

If you can, get an American-made Jazz...I'm sure you know they're of higher quality and will overall be better basses, although I'm not a big Fender fan. I only like their Jazz Basses. I hate flat-out Precision Basses...the tone bores me.

P pup + J bridge pup = <3

Yeah man, that's my favorite song on the album. It's so incredibly spiritual. I got to see them live recently also. Also a very spiritual and awe inspiring performance.

Singer banging on cast iron pan while with a preacher in the backround and a fat girl grinding on your leg=more spiritual than seeing Jesus on the cross.

my theory on mewithoutyou, the first time you hear them you will hate them, then dont listen to them for 3-6 months, then listen to them again, and you fall in love
