Aaron what's that, the value of cake?
3 without icing, 4 with. 3.2 if it's a flourless.

gaslight 07-15-2009 03:52 AM

Haha, nice.

I think I found what brand of nylon string acoustic I'm going to get after the next album. Gonna have the maddest time teaching myself that and getting inside the different sounds it has to offer.

Aaron 07-15-2009 04:01 AM

Do strings really change it that much?

Meatplow 07-15-2009 04:03 AM
Channel 9 is pretty poophouse now, Ed has drivin it to the ground. That show I just mentioned is about these fat *** people doing a so you think you can dance style show. I felt ill watching the ad
I rarely watch TV but when I do I catch some ridiculous show with a concept like this and turn it right back off again
Do strings really change it that much?
If you mean nylon string acoustic vs steel string acoustic yeah it's a huge difference in character.

If you meant brands of bass strings, nah not so much but still worth finding your favourite.

gaslight 07-15-2009 04:51 AM

Haha holy crap Hodges just almost scored the most amazing leaping try ever.

There's been a huge blue at the end of this Origin game, someone's picked up a neck injury from the fight by the look of it. Could be some serious stuff. Is already I suppose, hopefully it was just a knock-out rather than a neck injury.

Aaron 07-15-2009 06:09 AM

On Tsunami warning.

gaslight 07-15-2009 06:25 AM

Nah, been rescinded.

Aaron 07-15-2009 06:27 AM

Not according to Bureau of Meteors.

gaslight 07-15-2009 06:31 AM

Last I heard it was downgraded to a maritime warning with no evacuations required.

Aaron 07-15-2009 06:44 AM

Yeah. I'm right on the beach so that's still something I gotta watch.

gaslight 07-15-2009 06:44 AM

Sandcastle wall!

Aaron 07-15-2009 06:54 AM

House is on stilts actually, lol.

Talking to the Dean of Science from UOW on facebook, Prof E Bryant, and he said that we're cool. Agrees it'd be great though if it washed up lots of lobsters and potato-scallops on the beach.

gaslight 07-15-2009 07:13 AM

That it would.

Meatplow 07-15-2009 10:06 AM

I wish I knew the Dean of Science from UOW on facebook and could show of my social connections like that

gaslight 07-15-2009 10:11 AM

Add him?

Meatplow 07-15-2009 10:16 AM

but then that would be like a creepy stalker hunting a man with an important sounding title instead of presumably knowing him somehow beforehand through my elite social network IRL

plus i don't have a facebook

gaslight 07-15-2009 10:22 AM

I'm well proud of you for not having facebook.

prime possum 07-15-2009 04:16 PM

Yeah the amazing acrobatics of it almost made up for the fact that he dropped it. What an effort.

Aaron 07-15-2009 09:25 PM

Passiona is an underrated soft-drink.

Passiona is my favourite soft drink

Aaron 07-15-2009 09:51 PM

woo

gaslight 07-15-2009 09:55 PM

Irn-Bru is a pretty top drink.

I_WEAR_RED_PANTS 07-15-2009 10:13 PM

.....yes......it........is

gaslight 07-15-2009 10:17 PM

Try it sometime, it's like glow in the dark Fanta.

I_WEAR_RED_PANTS 07-15-2009 10:23 PM

where's the best place to look for it?

gaslight 07-15-2009 10:25 PM

Big supermarkets tend to carry it. It's a Scottish soft drink company so it's kind of available most places where there might be ex-pat Scots around. Coles here has it.

Aaron 07-15-2009 10:36 PM

I love Irn-Bru.
7-11 has it now.

gaslight 07-15-2009 10:43 PM

Apparently the fluro colouring stuff in it is a possible carcinogen but hey, so is cell division.
I love Irn-Bru.

i ASKED SOMEONE IN THE cOMMUNTIY THREAD WHAT THAT iRN bRU WAS LIKE AND i GOT NO ANSWER, CAN YOU DIVULGE PLZ KIND SIR?

EDIT: ****ing stupid caps lock..........

gaslight 07-15-2009 10:53 PM

Tastes a lot like Fanta or Sunkist or whatever orange-ade ish drink you can imagine. Has something of its own though.

I_WEAR_RED_PANTS 07-15-2009 10:57 PM

The ingredients in Irn-Bru are a closely guarded secret, and the recipe is known only to Robin Barr, the Chairman, and one unnamed person (who are not allowed to travel on the same plane together). A copy of the recipe is kept in a bank vault in Switzerland. Robin Barr himself mixes the essences of the drink in a sealed room at their headquarters in Cumbernauld once a month. Once Robin Barr steps down as Chairman, he will continue to be the company mixer, but will eventually pass on the recipe to his daughter (and company secretary) Julie.

"You like this car? They built one for me, one for Steven Spielberg, then they shot the guy who made it."

I think I got the name in the middle wrong but whatever.
