Peace Sells, Killing Is My Buisness cause they are teh best and The System has Failed cause they will be playin shit off that on tour i guess
|
They usually play a LOT of Peace Sells and Rust In Peace. Some Killling Is My Business, The System Has Failed, and Countdown to Extinction. That's all most of the time.
|
It's a couple off of each album live usually.
And they always end with Holy wars. I think, or maybe Peace Sells. |
They only play Peace Sells, Wake Up Dead, Holy Wars, Hangar 18, and Tornado of Souls.
The are the only songs I've heard them play from PS and RIP live, and I've seen them three times. |
They usually ALWAYS play these songs. Wake up Dead, Peace Sells, Set the World Afire, Holy Wars, Tornado of Souls, Hangar 18, In My Darkest Hour, Skin of My Teeth, Symphony of Destruction, Sweating bullets. Maybe A Tout Le Monde, Reckoning Day, Stuff of TSHF since they were supporting that on Gigantour and the tour with Exodus. They'll probably do some new material on this tour, since UA will be coming out soon. Maybe Hook in Mouth, and Mechanix too.
|
They always start with the first track of the new album, then they will play some classics : wake up dead, trust, hangar 18, in my darkest hour,...
and finish with holy wars (and silent scorn as outro) |
Wake Up Dead, Peace Sells, Tornado of Souls, Holy Wars, Symphony Of Destruction, In My Darkest Hour, Sweating Bullets, Hangar 18/Return To Hangar and A Toute Le Monde are songs you can expect to be played pretty much everytime.
|
Mustaine wont play a lot of the great stuff off of peace sells for his christianity.

And to that: . I love "Cryptic Writings". Megadeth's best. And yes, at one point, or another I've heard nearly all of their stuff. I just don't have much of an appetitie for real thrashy stuff. |
I think Cryptic Writings is great for what it is.
|
Yeah, it is good, but not their best. In fact I think it is one of their weaker albums.

What 1 song? |
Bad Omen, GM/BF, and The Conjuring. Apparently Anarchy in the UK either.
|
That sucks cause GM/BF and The conjuring are kickass, couldn't he just change the lyrics or somthing?
|
It wouldn't be the same if he changed those lyrics. They rule too much.

They played Return to Hangar (a ripoff in my view) since Megadeth broke up from the Rude Awakening line up. |
Well then it must be a ripoff for them to play Peace Sells or Hanger 18.
|
Well then it must be a ripoff for them to play Peace Sells or Hanger 18.
That doesn't make any sense. Return to Hangar is a cheap imitation of the greatness Hangar 18 is. It's like the Unforgiven 2...Lame. |
They played Return to Hangar (a ripoff in my view) since Megadeth broke up from the Rude Awakening line up.
The Rude Awakening lineup was the same lineup that recorded Return to Hanger. |
The Rude Awakening lineup was the same lineup that recorded Return to Hanger.
Yes...so? I'm saying the song is a ripoff of another Megadeth song, and you shouldn't rip yourself off, because it just comes out terrible. |
It sounded like you were saying it was a ripoff that they played it because they split up with the lineup that recorded it.
|

No...It's just a ****ty song. |
I like it, but whatever.
|
What'd you guys think of the new cover? Who else here thinks that it's intensely gay? And reminiscent of Peace Sells...What happened to the winning Vic, or the one pulling his visor and stuff off his face, that was cool art. The front of this cover doesn't have Vic, it has emo art angel Vic. Damnit Mustaine, write metal again.

He hasn't really stopped...

Of Mice and Men? Come on. Or what about Risk. Or really I should say, good metal. No? |
They played Return to Hangar (a ripoff in my view) since Megadeth broke up from the Rude Awakening line up.
It's a sequel, not a ripoff you idiot. It's obviously supposed to be Hangar 18 Pt. 2. How the fuck can you rip yourself off? |
You can rip yourself off by making a ****ty sequel song to Hangar 18 with a similar sound, with similar lyrics and song structure...idiot. Ooh...
|
Shut up.
Shut up.
Bam! Then I add spice, a little tomato, and we got ourselves a pizza. |
Posted by some guy on the Megadeth forums
So I was at the record store yesterday, and the cashier handed me this CD as I was leaving. On the cover it read ROADRUNNER RECORDS and on the back it read “The Definition of Dominance and there were 15 tracks. 15 songs from 15 different bands. There was some Hatebreed, Dragonforce, Opeth, Still Remains, you name it… but… there wasn’t 15 tracks. After the 15th song played through and finished, did the disc stop? No… there was one more track. Song #16, a 30 second long snippet of some real fast, trashy riff, then it cuts out…
It has been rumored to be a snippet off the new Megadeth album  http://www.megaupload.com/?d=9NPDQOH0 |
Of Mice and Men? Come on. Or what about Risk. Or really I should say, good metal. No?
Ummm, just because he makes one or two non-metal songs, doesn't mean he's stopped making metal. Plus, afaik, Friedman had a lot to do with Risk. |
Damnit Mustaine, write metal again.
So what was TSHF? Pop-punk?
You can rip yourself off by making a ****ty sequel song to Hangar 18 with a similar sound, with similar lyrics and song structure...idiot. You my friend... are a dumbass. Not only do you fail to recognize that Return to Hangar 18 is a sequel, which should be obvious from the very name, you also fail to realize it is impossible to rip off your own song. Plagiarism isn't defined as using your own material. You can't rip off material that you created and have the rights too. Plagiarism is using somebody else's ideas and presenting them as your own. Mustaine when he wrote a sequel to Hangar 18 wasn't plagiarisng (ripping off) his own work. He simply took a popular song he had created and changed the song structure and the lyrics slightly to make a similar song that represents the same style that the original song was created with. He created a sequel. :smash: There's a new idea nobody's ever heard of... |

Sequels always suck. You can rip off your own song, he did. It's a lame attempt at recapturing the magic hangar 18 has. I didn't say he plagarized, he ripped it off, there is a difference. Ripping something off is taking an idea, (whether it's your own or not) and changing it a bit, making it different, but you can still tell it's just a pale imitation of one of Deth's greatest songs. |
So what was TSHF?
Pop-punk? Yeah I mean Megadeth are the only band to ever have used the same song structure in 2 songs. It's not like it's important. So what if he ripped his own song off?
It's not pop punk, it's a couple of okay songs, with a couple of really bad songs. It's not just the same structure that bothers me, it's that he tried to make another good song out of a great song, and failed miserably. I think it's really lame with lines like "still two words that can't make sense!", and how it fails to be a good sequel at all. It's like Zorro 2. |
Ummm, just because he makes one or two non-metal songs, doesn't mean he's stopped making metal. Plus, afaik, Friedman had a lot to do with Risk.
I know, but he needs to come out with just an *** kicking, balls out, metal record. There's not enough of that around today. |
Uh, Dave did...it's called The System Has Failed.
Where have you been? NP-Trust |
Uh, Dave did...it's called The System Has Failed.
Where have you been? NP-Trust
I've been listening to TSHF. Of mice and men? Die Dead Enough? Back in the Day? Not *** kicking metal. |
