I've been listening to Locust Abortion Technician, some more Melvins and Pardon My French by Fuck, which incidentally has the greatest album cover in the history of music.

My Mum just walked in and made me turn down my Butthole Surfers, said it sounded like someone was dying. Good times.

Tomahawk 08-28-2005 05:32 AM

I finally got a hold of Cunning Stunts by the Cows, and it is kickin'.

Also some Down and Lighting Bolt and Clutch and Blackalicious.

br3ad_man 08-28-2005 06:16 AM

That's a really great album. The Cows rule.

Sufjan Stevens - Seven Swans. He is playing really close to where I live in a few weeks, but its 18+ :upset:. I will just have to wait until he is in St. Louis.

Last night, in an AIM conversation, NPC mentioned Glenn Branca for a comparison. I'd never heard the name before, so I allmusic'd him up, and became thoroughly intrigued.

Today I downloaded Branca's The Ascencion album, and it's fuckin' stellar.

The Ascencion is goooooold. I got it from my local library late last year and ripped it to my computer. I just recently downloaded Symphony No. 1, but haven't gotten around to listening to it yet.

Today I've been digging 154 by Wire.

Anxious 08-28-2005 01:24 PM

I have symphony No.1 and 2 by Glenn Branca, he never ceases to amaze me.

Happymeal 08-28-2005 01:55 PM

I'm slowly liking Angels of Light, and hopefully Swans soon. Micheal Gira is intense.

You ought to upload that for me, as well as any No Wave stuff (8 Eyed Spy, James White & The Blacks, the Live DNA album?) you might have.

I will reward you.

Digging some crazy Daoist music I picked up in the Other Music YSI. I have no idea who it's by or what the album is called (only know the track names) but it's one of the most relaxing and amazing albums I've heard in a very long time.

Shut your face, ETID is a good band. At least, Hot Damn! is a good album from them, with none of the cliched crap that their name suggests.

6Stringer 08-28-2005 05:59 PM

Today I bought:

Sufjan Stevens - Illinois
The Real McKenzies - 10,000 Shots

Quite good.

Danger Doom - The Mouse & The Mask
REM - Automatic for the People
