I'd say we're just as messed up. It's just that through familiarity, we don't realise it as much. I've managed to shed a bit of the familiarity by means of spending the last year living in a predominantly gay household. The other week I went out for the night with a friend and his stereotypically blokish housemates. And I was absolutely disgusted by them. They were nothing unusual, unfortunately. Just disgusting.

Why do people try to save animals in danger of extinction? Survival of the fitest; that's what this is. We are just trying to delay the inevitable, as eventually we will all wither away, or we would have to adapt to a different way of life.
