So that 17" A custom crash on ebay went for $155 plus shipping which is a little much. I found one on craigslist for $125 but it doesn't have an actual picture of it. So i e-mailed him hoping for him to reply with a picture.

Heavier sticks build chops. Harder to control them also.
I use Scottish Pipe-Bands on the pad. I swear they're about a kg each. Great for getting definition out of the longer-stroke rolls [ie 9 stroke roll] used in Stick Control.

fishbulb 02-15-2007 08:43 PM

Oh yeah, Guitar Center has a used Paiste 18" Sound Formula full crash for $75. Are those the really old really good/cool crashes?
sending out valentines-day reps :-/
Aww, lame.

That's no reason for the ban-hammer.

Unless the picture was lewd or something, it didn't show up in mine.

Thanks, by the way.

ofDooM 02-15-2007 08:44 PM

God Damn, that is a complete steal. Those are signature level.

fishbulb 02-15-2007 08:44 PM
cant quite hold on to one still, can ya fish?
No i can't really. My mom brought something up that is a good point: I only started looking because i saw the one at guitar center for a good deal. Now only because i saw that i want to buy one and i'll almost take anyone even if it isn't a good deal.

So i'm going to hold out until i find one i really like.

Gary Lover 02-15-2007 08:44 PM
As a drummer i try to learn anything and everything. Even if I dont plan on using you never know when it can be handy.
This is a very good motto. I go by the same idea. While it is super important to know your basics and be able to excell in normal playing situations, you have that much more vocabulary and technique to pull out when you want to make a specific musical statement.
