Jamie 05-18-2005 01:31 PM

fatbandit: I IMed you this morning, where were you? Did you have your ICT exam (if any) today?

Spaceman Spiff 05-18-2005 01:31 PM

I've started listening to Primus again.
I go through phases with them, and I've entered my "always listening to them" phase again.

neal_672 05-18-2005 01:34 PM

Strangely enough so have i Spiff... Them and Jamiroquai...

fatbandit 05-18-2005 01:34 PM

Ah, I noticed the message Jamie. I was playing Final Fantasy 7 and didn't turn my MSN off... Didn't do IT today. We have it as our first exam on Monday. Was it easy? I assume it was...

Spaceman Spiff 05-18-2005 01:39 PM

Did anybody like Primus before becoming a bassist?
I know I did.
It just seems like everybody else only found out about them because of bass playing and Les Claypool being amazing.
But I've liked them for many years, long before I wanted to play an instrument.

Oh, i guess you're on AQA or Edexcel for ICT? We are on OCR. It was the easieset piece of crap ever! I reckon I got at least an A :)

How far are you on ff7? I got really upset with that game! I played it for ages, got to 3rd disc i think, then got stuck. You know where you get to a point where you cant go back, like you save before a battle and you cant get out? I did that, and could only go into battle against this maaassive dragon with a very weak team.

Im absolutely terrible at all FF games :D :(

Gackt 05-18-2005 01:41 PM

FF games are brill :) where you fighting one of the Weapons Jamie?

also i had the IT exam today... it was piss easy!

Spaceman Spiff 05-18-2005 01:42 PM

Final Fantasy VII is actually one of the best games ever made. :thumb:

Gackt 05-18-2005 01:44 PM

^True... i like IX better tho.... hm i need to be hit because of my lack of posts in Casual :( as i hasnt been posting in here much

FFVIII was by far the best FF game...

fatbandit 05-18-2005 01:45 PM

Haha, I've spent hundreds of hours on FF7, completed it loads, its sad really... I told my friend to get it, because its awesome, and he did on his PC, and him asking me about it just made me play it again  The wanker... Anyway, I'm just outside the Temple of the Ancients at the moment. Need to train Aeris up a bit though, I've not used her except for when its compulsory. She sucks, and she's about to die. Screw buying stuff for her and using her... Anyway, my last game of FF7 was a solo character (just Cloud), no materia, initial equipping only game, for a challenge - makes you appreciate the item function a lot more! I got to disc 3, but I can't beat Carry Armor without Omnislash, which I have discovered is impossible to get :upset:

Yeah, I suck

And I listened to Primus a few times at someone's house, but didn't know it was Primus. I got into after Jamie sent me a few tracks over MSN. And now I've bought 5 albums. Its a slippery slope, I tell thee.

fatbandit 05-18-2005 01:46 PM

And Jamie, I believe you were in the Crater? Not fighting a Weapon. Silly.

fatbandit 05-18-2005 01:47 PM

And yes, FF7 is by far my favourite game, ever. Its depressing how much of my life went into it.

Spaceman Spiff 05-18-2005 01:48 PM

Gackt - FFIX was way too easy, I thought. It was very good, but incredibly simple. I mean, they made it possible to beat in under 12 hours!

Neal - FFVIII was one of the worst FF games. I didn't like it much at all.

Best FF games: FFVII, FFIV, FFVI, FFIX. Maybe not in that order, but I'd say that those are the best ones.

fatbandit 05-18-2005 01:50 PM

In order of ones I've played? Best to worst: VII, VI, V, IX, X, VIII, IV

Jamie 05-18-2005 01:52 PM

i had just gone past a bit with clocks?

errrm, yeah i liked Primus before I was a bassist! I liked the south park theme tune! And thats Primus :D

Other than that, no.

I was a pop punker when i first played bass

fatbandit 05-18-2005 01:54 PM

A bit with clocks...? Where are there clocks...?

The big one in the Temple of the Ancients in on disk one, so I doubt it was that.

Are there clocks in the Crater? I forget, but it sounds unlikely. You know, I'll find out when I get onto disc 3, just for you

Gackt 05-18-2005 01:55 PM

Bah X was good but the sphere grid angered me... also i only ever played FFVII once and got to disc 2... was fun but the whole Cloud being a fake was just gay.... Also i just loved Zidane on IX he was cool :)

Was talking about this today lol

neal_672 05-18-2005 01:56 PM

:amaze: VIII rules all, it was like playing a film the storyline was just...wow...

fatbandit 05-18-2005 01:58 PM

IX got easy. When everyone had Auto Float and Auto Protect, it was very easy. Vivi with Flare and Reflectx2, Zidane just being a nutter, along with Steiner, and I can't even remember who my fourth party member was now... :upset:

The sphere grid was kinda cool, but I missed the world map on X.

fatbandit 05-18-2005 02:00 PM

You cannot deny the greatness of VII's storyline... I agree VIII's was good, but you didn't even find the SeeD ship Neal, so you're not qualified to talk about the whole story :p
