Well done, I got an A* overall but I could have done so much better so I'm rather pissed off about what I did! When I preformed bass I had to play on a guitar amp and when I preformed on piano the piano had the worst buzz ever!!! :angry:

I just wasn't able to figure it out.
So, unfortunately it didn't help.


I don't know the exact code for it, but someone in my class helped me a little and was using if statements:

if (word.length charAt (0) != charAt (4));


So comparing the 1st and 5th letter, then do the same with 1 and 3 to compare the 2nd and 4th letter, though I don't exactly know how it was done.

Honestly, I don't think the code you just gave me will come through a compiler... ;)

But he probably used something like this:

i=0;
j=word.length-1;
flag = false;
do {
if (word.charAt(i) == word.charAt(j)) {
flag = true;
}
else {
flag = false;
break;
}
i++;
j--;
}
while (i<=j);
if (flag) {
palindrome found...
}
else {
palindrome not found...
}


This way the code will be like 40-45% faster, but it's harder to write...
Again, check the API for correct syntaxis/methods...
