Do they play anything other then the St. Anger album on this years tour? I might go to the PA concert on Sept. 22nd....but I don't wanna hear just St. Anger album stuff....I love it all...but I wanty more then that...I want the REALLY good ****

They usually just play Frantic and the title track, the rest will be songs from the other albums, including lots of 80's stuff.

Metallica ****in rocks live!!! I saw my first Metallica concert Mon 8/30, and even got the live concert recording from livemetallica.com

Lemme tell you what it took to get to this momentus day:

10 yrs of being a Metallica fan (my brother brought the black album home from college on tape, and I have been hooked ever since)

4 chances since then to see Metallica

2 times of that not having a job or enough money to go

1 time that it was a school night, and also above...

$186.75 in tickets for myself, my wife and my best friend

1 pissed off rant at the ticketmaster lady when two weeks after I got my balcony seats, 2000 more floor seats opened up.

5 months of waiting for the date to arrive, counting down every minute of every day till showtime

8 gallons of gas for the round trip and some cruising in Ames (a total of 103.3 miles, which is the number of the radio station that presented the show)

4 hours before showtime when we left the house to get the **** outta dodge and go see this kick *** show

20 seconds after the showtime slated to start that Godsmack took the stage

45 minutes of Godsmack

20 mins of downtime between bands

20 mins till 9pm that Metallica took the stage and rocked my ****in *** so hard my neck still hurts to this day!

1 satisfied Metallica fan:

Seeing that the best ****in band in the world who can work the crowd like none other and keeping them on their feet for two hours and 18 minutes...and that they can still rock the ****in world, even being in their 40s: priceless!

that being said, Metallica are worth every ****in penny, it was the greatest experience I have ever had being at a live concert, it hurt to stand on my feet for that long, but I didnt care, that was a great religious experience...

now that I have said all of that, I leave you to your lives





and say that Metallica kick ****in ***! :smash: :chug:

and for those who want to see em live, they play stuff from every album as much as possible, and its a different list every night, check livemetallica.com for the setlists to get an idea

dave wrote the fourhorseman (but his was the mechanix), no remorse, and metal militia. he did not write call of ktulu, he did some of leper messiah(just the basic riff). and am i evil and blitzkreig were only released on japanease editions. and whoever said they used daves recordings int he final version of kill em that is completely wrong.

been a metallica fan since i was 6, my uncle let me lisitn to his copy of load lol ive been a fan for 8 years and never seen a concert :sad:

I agree...I like every album...even St. Anger...the old stuff was better...but the new stuff is good too...and I heard that Kirk joined Metallica just in time to record Kill Em' All...or well...mayb I'm forgetting...maybe it was Ride The Lightning...lol it probably was Ride The Lightning because it lists Dave in the Kill Em' All book...it might just be because Dave wrote it but they would list Kirk too...so...well...If the 3-??? dots (....) annoy you...Im sorry...Im just so used to doing as a pause kinda

I like it all I like everything from the first note of hit the lights to the last note of all within my hands .... im glad they do differnt things i think if they hadnt they wouldnt have been able to make more than 2 more more good thrash albums ... i think what they did is what they should have done ... Fade To Black really caught me....I was suicidal 2 years ago...ya that sounds pathetic..a suicidal 11 year old...but i was....and well that song...the guitars...lyrics...the drums...everythinga bout it caught me...and it went on from there (dont worry im not suicidal anymore)
