I think if every Bodom song was rated from 1-10, In Your Face would be a 2, while the next lowest would be around a 6.

Really? I think that song is awsome. It took me awhile though. The first time I heard it I thought it sucked, but after listining to it a few times I started to really like it.

Edit: I would probally give it around 7

I thought it was complete crap. It sounds industrial, a genre I strongly dislike, the vocals and lyrics are really stupid, the drop C5 chord is used about 100 times, the solo is nothing special at all, and really short.

well the song is not that good for cob ... some of the riffs are ok

but the part where hes singing ''I dont give a flyin beep mother beep!'' x 3, that just sounds like korn. his vocals in Are You Deat Yet? (during the verses) are absolutely HORRIBLE as well.

I thought it was hilarious :lol: I love it. The lyrics are pretty bad, yeah, but I don't look at the lyrics too much anyway...

Come now, you must be joking. Knuckleduster is the worst song they've ever done, certainly not better than In Your Face.

I don't have anything against Industrial itself, I just hate it, it's a matter of taste, I'm not badmouthing the genre. Knuckleduster is a million times more melodic and well composed than In Your Face. Everytime I listen to AYDY I skip INF. Knuckleduster I actually enjoy listening to.

Wow. I was more disgusted with Knuckleduster than I was with IYF. I was scared to death that CoB was going in this direction once TL&S came out. I still think it's their worst song. The riffs are simplified and recycled, and IYF at least has catchiness.

I think IYF is by far the most simple song CoB has ever put out, much moreso than Knuckleduster. If CoB went in teh direction of IYF I'd be disgusted, while Knuckleduster seems to fit in with any other song on AYDY.

It's amazing we are both Bodom fans, I've never had so many musical differences with someone before. There's almost nothing we can agree on.

I dug Knuckleduster, man. And I think ever CoB song has it's own catchiness to some extent...

We agree on some things. :) We both love the band, just for different reasons.

I still really like Knuckleduster, because the solos were exceptional. I find it to be one of their weakest songs anyway, but maybe it was because of my shock at hearing them play something completely un-power metal. The lack of soloing was IYF's biggest flaw, but the riffing was catchy as hell.

At least you agree on the solos, I love those solos. I think that In Your Face's riffs are all so bland and simple, and Knuckleduster's aren't amazing but at least it's got some harmonized leads and such.
