I don't care about them either. My personal beleifs are as opposite from their 'message' as it gets. I find some of their lyrics to be some of the dumbest shit ever written, but then I find some of their material to be some of the coolest stuff. Plus, if they were to actually follow their moral code of hating the government and such, I doubt they would mind if I whored Mezmerize.

Meh, I'll hear it eventually.
I lvoe how the incredibly stupid lyrics go with the music though, the guys are insane*

Dr. Jake Destructo 05-09-2005 10:36 PM

I read in an interview with Daron once something along the lines of this:
I guess I was sick or something so my doctor put me on prescription Marijuana. It's fuccking incredible.
It was something like that. I recall there being prescription marijauna and fuck in there somewhere. :p

They're all pretty messed up apparently because the new record, the singing is jsut more off the top than usual. I love it :p

kurrpt 05-10-2005 06:47 AM

so you guys think i should re-record that song with a different tone? I could do it clean and add effects after the fact as well

kurrpt 05-10-2005 09:18 AM

should i?

i was listening to'bug eyes' sounds emo and nu-metal

Artemician 05-10-2005 12:03 PM

I always found it a little strange that practically everyone I knows likes System of a Down, but I don't. I guess I'm just weird....

kurrpt 05-10-2005 12:11 PM

i liked the toxicity album. I heard their new one is kewl, but i wont buy it. I wouldnt mind having it for free :-D

Adam Jones is GOD 05-10-2005 12:13 PM

Self Titled had some great songs on. Toxicity was solid as an album, but nothing memorable for me. Interesting to see what this new one will be like.
Heres a little treat for you guys:

Adam Jones is GOD 05-10-2005 12:20 PM

Dont you have enough for the moment? He posted at least 5

kurrpt 05-10-2005 12:25 PM

really???

i only know of 2, and i refuse to play sober since thats my least favorite song. i like the video though

Adam Jones is GOD 05-10-2005 12:28 PM

Sober is pretty boring to play i agree. Though the end section is open to improv.

To my knowledge he's done

Jerk Off
Part Of Me
Stinkfist
Ænema
Sober
And his little doodle on Reflection, which started this whole thing off.

clearvision 05-10-2005 01:24 PM

He did eulogy too...

The new Soad album is quality, but doesn't match toxicity

Toxicity > mezmerize > S/T > Steal this album

There are some great tracks on mesmerize, Question, Violent pr0nography, dead in hollywood, BYOB

But also some rather poor ones Cigaro, Old school hollywood, this cocaine makes me feel like im on this song...

kurrpt 05-10-2005 01:27 PM

where can i find the link for Jerk Off??

Anybody

clearvision 05-10-2005 01:29 PM

SonorKen 05-10-2005 01:33 PM
Hey Sonorken, can you help me out here?
How many songs do you think a band should get down (original I mean) to play some shows? Because as of right now we have about 5 or 6 down, and we were thinking that would be enough to play some shows. But you're in a band and I'm guessing you've played shows and I was wondering...

Thanks in advance, I've been wondering this for awhile.
Well, it all depends on if you think you will be headlining or a support band. I would try to have 10 to 12 originals and 10 to 12 covers that you could play. You want to be prepared to be able to headline the show if the main act doesnt show up.

jamesclelland 05-10-2005 02:53 PM

i got this video of maynard just dropping this dude that snuck on stage during pu****. it's insane. send me some bs message saying you want the video, i'll reply back with it. it may take me a day or so, i'm usually pretty busy.

jimclelland19@yahoo.com

kurrpt 05-10-2005 02:54 PM

like drop as in one punch, the dude is out cold??

clearvision 05-10-2005 02:56 PM

Most people have that video. Maynard goes to hug the dude, he then flips his *** over and sits on him while singing push!t.

Happy Birthday Danny Carey! Heh, I know I'm off topic and this was pretty random but that's the update at the Tool site.
