I need to change the port no. and the proxy name. But I also need to put in my username and password for the uni. And it has to be HTTP proxy as well.

You change the port number on soulseek. But you can't do the rest, but you can try and run it.

I think Limewire lets you do that stuff, but I've never used it before.

This is true, my uni says thast theyll hand out 3 day bans if we use the computers for anything other than assignments. They are gay though

Nah i was talking about ANYTHING other than assignments though, like instant messaging, gaming, etc, even legal stuff. But my uni is kinda cheap and nasty i guess.

Nope. If you're on the uni network, it'll ban you from accessing the internet if you're detected using a file-sharing program.

I know people who've gotten around them by making the P2P go through port 80, so the network thinks its regular internet traffic, dunno how well that worked.

Hm. Promote political causes is pretty vague. Either way, that's a terrible nazi rule. You should tell them about it.

I don't think it's that big of a deal since it is a community college and no one lives on campus, so most people using the internet will be using it periodically to do some school work, or like me, pass time by posting on here, reading webcomics, and reading the news.
