I don't think BoB is that great either. People seem to like it for the spontaneous nature of the recording, but ****, it's not a great record.

In other news, if Johnny Cash had ever played Death is Not the End, it'd have been amazing. Leonard Cohen playing it would have been second best. But Nick Cave covering it is good as well. Better than Dylan's at least.

I am liking where QC is going, and I'm back to being in love with BTMI!

I'm always in love with BTMI, at the moment my favourite tracks seem to be Ready, Set, No!! & Old and Unprofessional, but it changes a lot.

The drumming in "FREEEEEEE BIIIRRDDD!!!! FRREEEE BIIIRRRDDDD!!!" is so good.

Oh yeah, I always seem to think of "Big Plans of Sleeping In" and "I'm a Panic Bomb, Baby!" as being the same song, as with the first 2 tracks of that album. I just love that entire album, there isn't really a song on it that I don't like. I'm not so sure if I can sasy the same for their second album, though.


As for Bob Dylan albums, The Freewheelin' is definitely my favourite, it seems like he's wise in such a way that is lost in his other stuff.

I'm sure DIYers will forgive you, decent quality hoodies are difficult/expensive to make, and SLM probably need a bit of money now-a-days anyway.

I really like the change in quality/tone on the second album. There are some great songs but I don't think it really lives up.

"Congrautlations John on Joining Everytime I Die" is one of my favorite BTMI! songs.

Hey Andre. I just bought The Great Shark Hunt. It's been so long since I read Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and On the Campaign Trail I forgot how good Hunter S. Thompson actually is.

The only webcomic I seem to enjoy is White Ninja.

He's so genius. I have yet to read "The Great Shark Hunt". I prefer his various Gonzo Papers books, the collections of his various letters and articles.

Member(s) of Arrogant Sons of Bitches, I believe. They're pretty good. They have 2 albums and both are free for download on their site.

Hunter S Thompson turned every pothead into a pseudo intellectual. Besides that the work is enjoyable. BTMI is really good.

ASOB and BTMI! are both really awesome. I'd love to find more about them but the information on them on the interweb is really limited.

I hate how all the awesome bands I like are totally unknown. Siren Six, Jeffries Fan Club, Green Day. Ah. :rolleyes:

You should read Transmetropolitan. It's a comic book set hundreds of years in the future with a journalist based on Thompson as the main character.
