Hey guys, do you know how I can get Steve Harris' tone (I know, n00b question). I really like his tone, but all I know is he uses a P-bass with a maple neck. Can you help me out?
|
I think there was a thread about this awhile back. Maybe someone has a link?
|
^^Yeah, cause the search engine is gone. I cant find any info.
|
Eddie The Trooper is a giant Maiden fan, he probably knows.
|
Yeah. He is the one that gave the answer. I know a saw a thread about it less thank a month ago. The best I can tell you is to go scroll through the old threads until you find it.

^^Thanks

On a seperate note, should I buy my brothers Squire P-bass for $30?
Its missing a tuning machine, the electronics don't work, screws are missing, it has no strings, and I defretted it, so its a raw rosewood fb. Should I buy it? |
Should I got with this deal???

http://www.basscentral.com/spector/euro_bo.shtml
You ever played the bolt-on? In my opinion, the neck-thru is soooo much nicer. |
The neck-thru is also so much more expensive. I can't really afford ANY of their neck-thrus. Do they even make any under a grand?

4 String Euro LX is 1400, used it would be approx. 700 |
And I played a Euro 4 bolt-on at a Guitar Center but it was made just like the Euro neck-thru. The neck-thrus have different fret markers and this bolt on had the same. It also looked like it was constructed WAY better than any other spector bolt-on I have seen or played. That's why I am so interested in this Spector bolt-on. I'm not even positive it is a Euro. But I haven't been able to find that exact modle anywhere except that store and I refuse to buy a floor model from GC.
|
When i played the euro and rebob, the difference was huge. Perhaps I just here more subtle things. The neck thru was deeper in tone, had more articulation, much sweeter top end, and tighter low be. I was also much nice in looks IMO.

I still don't know much about the Euro. The Rebob is the Bolt-on?
|
Yeah, just go for a bolt-on unless money is no option. Neck-thru's are usually a lot of extra money and the difference isn't always worth it.
|
yo yo yo... i got to go
