infinite death rules but i havent checked out their new one. is it worth getting?
|
yeah spot on Pete they are a mix of those two, The Red Shore have followed that style too
Jake, their new one goes down the straight dm style. Infinite Death is still their best but I liked their direction change too still pretty bloody good |
yeah, i like it a lot, really brutal and with plenty of wanking and noodling, yet well-written. this and "invade" by Within the Ruins are my faves in this genre this year, i think. i need to listen to this more though, only just got it.
|
so Thy Art is Murder are pretty fucking good?
I love that band. |

cool, yeah it is structured well too, and are much tighter too. I noticed this when I saw them with DI and The Red Shore just recently. i actually have the same top two as you :p |
Exoplanet is one of the best heavier releases this year imo.
|
if you listen to music that is heavy and you're talking about deathcore you're doing it wrong
|
brent no-one fucking cares
|
what the hell, thy art is murder sounds pretty sweet then a lame breedown comes in
fuck |
album is pretty good aside from a couple songs with brodowns
take those out and it's a solid 7/10 album, good catchy riffs pretty sure there isn't such thing as a deathcore album higher than 7/10 anyway |
what the hell, thy art is murder sounds pretty sweet then a lame breedown comes in
fuck
thy art is murder's eps are too good, regardless of breakdowns i mean, if you're looking for deathcore and don't want breakdowns you're just doing it wrong same with brutal death metal but you claim wretched's new album doesn't have breakdowns lololol |
yes thats lame
Exoplanet is one of the best heavier releases this year imo.
ah yes this was my 2nd fave of the year Thy Art shifts down one rung, still to decide whether I like Wretched better than Thy Art too |
forgot about exoplanet gonna listen to that after paysage
|
My band opened for Wretched, they played almost all new songs, and every song had at least two breakdowns.
|
wretched's old stuff is more breakdown-y, they probably played a lot of it
there have been a bunch of songs on good albums I've deleted beacuse of breakdowns and wretched's old one is a great example. Awesome songs, just a few duds (boring chugging). Same with Invade by WiT and Thy Art is Murder. New Wretched is a lot more melodic and is basically tech melodic death metal with less filler breakdowns, easily an 8/10 and justin, if you like exoplanet but hate on my exploding planet tech death, you're a hypocritical faggot, it's the same shit but with breakdowns instead of widdly-diddly soloing |
dude exoplanet has at least a little diversity that shit you listen to doesnt
|
bull
shit exoplanet is just as formulaic as the bands I listen to - faceless, obscura, etc faceless has a lot of jazz-fusion influence, obscura is baroque influenced and has acoustic elements and they don't have breakdowns in every goddamn song |
lol
|
yes, breakdowns are lol
|
brent your opinions are lol
|

IDK if you got the memo, but breakdowns don't necessarily = filler.
and justin, if you like exoplanet but hate on my exploding planet tech death, you're a hypocritical faggot, it's the same shit but with breakdowns instead of widdly-diddly soloing
no it isn't. there's tons and tons of post rock influence and very little death metal, this is just proof you barely listened to it. you suck at music jesus. |
So yeah, repeatedly ranting about filler just because you don't like chugs makes no sense.

|

|
well there are tech death/core that has explosions
and others that have planets obscura happens to have both |
I want exploding planets not one of the bosses from Final Fantasy VII
That is an monster about to explode a planet lol learn to exploding planets. |
I suppose it is one possible interpretation
|
See that purple line emitting from the center of the exploding planets monsters, that's heading south into the planet.

implying post metal isn't metal influenced post rock... |
implying there's tons and tons of post rock influence on Exoplanets
|
I don't get where you think this is funny.
There's tons of post rock parts on the album. Arguing against that is like saying there aren't breakdowns on Wretched's new album. Do you wanna be like ADB bro? |
Mappy, you can out class brent but you can't out class me.
I know for a fact that there isn't there's tons and tons of post rock influence on that album. You don't need to over exaggerate to win arguments against brent. |
I'm not exaggerating anything though, there's a lot of post rock segments throughout the album.
Here, I'll listen to it and list each part. |
You do that negra.
