A whole month?

I hear wedding bells.

DruMMeR_BoY14 10-09-2005 03:49 AM

haha, if you hear wedding bells after a month what do you hear after 20?

Double Bass Jim 10-09-2005 04:09 AM

The funeral dirge.

DruMMeR_BoY14 10-09-2005 04:12 AM

lmao, that was a good one jim!
haha, if you hear wedding bells after a month what do you hear after 20?
you dont need to get to know someone before you marry them. if you can last a month without having a job and her not breaking up with you, thats all you need.

Alright, homecoming is done and over, it was KICKASS! My girlfriend had a GREAT time. The DJ was great, he's actually our theology teacher, but he's really young. He's 28, so he was awesome. Our dean requested sex bomb, it was hilarious. Almost all the chaperones/teachers danced, including two monks. The only song that people didnt like was Holla-back Girl, and that was played for our football team.

The atmosphere was great, really informal, but formal at the same time. Two of my really good friends were King and Queen, so it's all good.

Without further ado, pictures.

My girlfriend (Monika) and I (Noah) (just to warn you, I ALWAYS look bad in pictures)

Two of my VERY VERY close friends, who are dating as well (John and Emily)

Three of my friends and me (Me, Dylan, John and Kenzie

And finally, my REALLY close group of friends minus two people, we know eachother really well. The blonde-haired one is my guitarist, the other guy is our sound man/eggshaker player.

Comments? I look pretty bad in these pictures, but Monika was really pretty. She always is, but she was gorgeous last night. And then there's John, who is referred to as the "pretty boy"

Awsome wombat. Sounds like you had a really good time.
Hey rockin hows that paiste crash workin out?
The 2oo2 I bout a while ago? Or the old school giant beat i'm trying to snag from my school?

The 2oo2 is working out awsome, fits really well with the rest of my cymbals, and sounds awsome. Buying deaf worked out this time, although I did try the 18" at L&M so that gave me a rough idea.

The giant beat, I havn't gotten around to asking him about it yet. I think i'm going to wait a bit longer beacause I already asked him last year and he said no but i'm not sure if he knew I was talking about the crash. Since there was a rivited (sp?) ride there too.

Win A Rabbit 10-09-2005 12:27 PM

thanksgiving tonight, whooooo!!! i love turkey, but it's usually really dry at the person's house we almost always go to for thanksgiving. but thankfully, we're not going there this year. i think we're just staying home.

well yesterday, i was working on a song using only kitchen items, and it was going pretty well. but then my computer crashed. so i'm gonna work on it again today. no drumsticks or anything, only things you would use to make food. i got inspired to do this when i was at my friends for lunch, and i was messing around with a little pan, a baster, and some measuring spoons. i had some pretty good stuff going on, too.

dam'n, my friend's mom just called and invited my family over. my mom's best friends with her, so she said we'd go. so i called my friends and asked them where they were eating, and most of them are going to the same place my family's going, so it won't be too bad. the turkey she makes is always so dry though, and we always eat at 8-9 there, i hate it. oh well...

i just came up with a sweet groove while playing drums. i started playing around with shuffles, then i switched the sticking around for the first half, and got this really cool sounding groove. it almost sounds like it's in straight 4, but at the same time it sounds like 12/8. i'll transcribe it out, since i know most of you hate tabs.

yeah really. Dark meak is the path to flavor country.....gobble

spike9908 10-09-2005 05:45 PM

eh, im not a huge turkey fan to begin with, but IMO white meat with gravy is the best, though i cant remember if ive ever tried dark meat with gravy.

Drumass 10-09-2005 05:48 PM

y dont they sticky this?

Win A Rabbit 10-09-2005 05:49 PM

man, i was just cleaning up the marching snare drum my friend lent me, and the bottom of the batter head has a piece of tape dated january 24, 1976. i didn't think this thing was that old. it's a 30 year old batter head, still in near perfect condition, and still sounds great. i think i'm going to buy new heads for it, what are some good marching heads? i'm guessing they'd be different from your regular snare drum, but i may be wrong.

but i'm going to go shower now, since it's 5:48, and i'm supposed to be over at my friend's house for supper right away, so i'll talk to you all later, after i'm full of turkey. and mashed potatoes, yum.

edit- i just checked, and i have 405 posts in this thread. whoa. how many does everyone else have?

CombatWombat3 10-09-2005 05:54 PM
y dont they sticky this?
because, it doesn't need to be stickied. It's always near the top anyway.
edit- i just checked, and i have 405 posts in this thread. whoa. how many does everyone else have?
445 not something i should be proud of i guess :upset:

spike9908 10-09-2005 05:59 PM

how do you check how many you have?

CombatWombat3 10-09-2005 06:01 PM

You click on the thing next to the thread that says posts.

like 48 in this thread or something...

infeef 10-09-2005 06:03 PM

i have 1 post in this thread.

spike9908 10-09-2005 06:05 PM

i have the 13th most with 256. i thought it would be a lot more. like close to 5-600, but its good that it isnt. probably because i didnt start coming in here every night until the middle of august, then school started, so i barely post anywhere anymore.

i remember the night of osiris's snare raffle thing, i posted something like 48 times in 2 hours just in that thread. ahhh, good times. we turned that into stronghold part 2.

Get out of our thread...

This thread is now being taken over the the Clan O'Dwyer, you are now free to run among the highlands, and build castles on swamps.

(It's funny because I'm Irish, and have taken over this thread)

rockindrummer 10-09-2005 06:11 PM

I have 345 posts. Kinda sad as I started posting in it in like late july.
