These guys rule, but their s/t > TG,TA Sonic Youth and The ICP Orchestra and The Ex - In The Fishtank Robyn Hitchcock - I Often Dream Of Trains and Fegmania! |
Clarity
There is no better album. |
m83 - before the dawn heals us
broken social scene - s/t, you forgot it in people flaming lips - hit to death in the future head, transmissions from the satellite heart |
Clarity
There is no better album.
I never get bored of that album no matter how many times I play it. The Raveonettes - Pretty In Black - listened to this album today for only the second time, it's pretty good. 6k! |
These guys rule, but their s/t > TG,TA
I know eh? Icarus Line Murs & Slug Non-Prophets aren't as good as I thought they'd be. |
Captain Beefheart - Ice Cream For Crow
|
Captain Beefheart - Ice Cream For Crow
I love you more and more everyday. |
I know eh?
Icarus Line Murs & Slug Non-Prophets aren't as good as I thought they'd be.
Agreed. But I still like them. |
Ooh, it's mclusky sunday. So all mclusky, all day.
|
Pan*American - Quiet City
Nine Horses - Snow Borne Sorrow Nils Økland - Bris and I watched the flick, Happiness. It gets more and more humorous each time I see it. |
Butthole Surfers
Negativland Minutemen The Pop Group Ramones The Pop Group are unbelievably amazing. |
Butthole Surfers
Negativland Minutemen The Pop Group Ramones The Pop Group are unbelievably amazing.
Yeah that they were. It's been a Violent Femmes day. |
I wish I could some find Violent Femmes albums other than the s/t and Hallowed Ground. Not that I've heard many great things about the rest of their discography, it's just that I like those two albums a good deal and I'm interested in hearing where they went after HG.
|
Freak Magnet by Violent Femmes is a pretty sweet album.
|
I've only ever heard one song by the Violent Femmes and I don't even recall what it was called. It was catchy, though.
Edit: Blister In The Sun was the title |
Magneta Lane - "The Constant Lover"
|
Black Flag - The First Four Years
The different singers are very interesting. Keith Morris sounds like Iggy Pop and Chavo is pretty cool too. |
Morris doesn't sound anything like Iggy. Pfft
Imagine if Keith had've sung when Ginn was in his prime, like 82-83'. That'd be awesome. |
Rollins went good with Ginn, when he was good.
:thumb: Have you seen Palindromes?
Yeah, I rented it last week actually. It was very interesting, I enjoyed it. All four Todd Solondz movies I saw were great, he's a very adventurous filmmaker. |
Big Youth - Screaming Target
Elvis Costello - My Aim is True Yo La Tengo - Prisoners of Love Big Youth is really good. |
Unwed Sailor is really, really good. Especially if you like post-rock of any variety.
Thats what I've been saying for agessssss. :) I saw/met them over the summer and they were amazing live. Especially because they replaced the two guitars with pianos. Soooo good. br3ad, I would recommend Firecracker EP or The Faithful Anchor. The Marionette in the Music Box comes with a picture booklet and it more story oriented, which is sweet, but isnt necessarily as good. I've been listening to alot of Broken Social Scene's s/t and Sigur Ros. I want to be totally Sigur Ros-ified when i see them in around 2,400 hours. |
Richard Hell & The Voidoids - Blank Generation
Hot Snakes - Automatic Midnight Ani DiFranco - Educated Guess 3 great albums. Automatic Midnight is my favorite Snakes album at the moment. I love the energy this band has. I'm gonna be listening to The Fall for the first time soon, once i get the rest of Hex Enduction Hour from Anxious Mo-Fo on soulseek. I've heard alot of good things about them, so i'm anticipating this greatly. |
I don't like that Fall album, but I love the Voidoids and Hot Snakes.
|
Yesterday was Prince and Outkast. Right now on some Julian Cope.
|
I'm digging the same stuff I have been all week.
Gustav Mahler's first symphony is something you should all hear right now, because it's unbelievable. |
Black Flag - The First Four Years

Wintersleep - Untitled (2005)
|
Acid Bath - Paegen Terrorist Tactics
|
The Congos - Heart of the Congos
Dennis Alcapone - Forever Version |
DCFC - We Have The Facts And We're Voting Yes
Herbie Hancock - Cantaloupe Island Bear VS Shark - Right Now You're In The Best Of Hands ...Trail Of Dead - Sources, Tags & Codes |

Dream Theater - Octavarium
Social Distortion - Sex, Love and Rock 'n' Roll Default - One Thing Remains Foo Fighters - In Your Honor |

Last night. Performance by the Trinity Jazz Orchestra, but these guys were special guests. One of them has played on hundreds of recordings as a session musician for people like Sinatra and even toured with Steely Dan in the 70s. The other guy was supposedly the best trombone player in Japan. Now I know trombones aren't meant for playing fast staccato notes very well, but these guys were tearing the place up. |
