I got an English paper back today. It was graded with a B.

I felt kind of bad at first, because that's a pretty low mark, but then my prof told us that most of us would probably be disappointed in our marks (true), but that an F was nothing to be ashamed of. :amaze:

I feel much better now.
My prof said the same thing about my economics midterm, so I didn't feel bad about the 50 I got on it.

BenJammin 11-07-2006 04:32 PM

Haha, yeah. It's only worth 10% of the entire year's grade, so I'm not too fussed about it.

Look at you being a smart *** as we speak. Lesson well learned man. Hope you grow up and stop being a little bitch. Go shoot some more darts at people and run away.

What a prick, trying to tell me that I make stuff up and don't know what I am talking about just because I suck at bass. Sure I suck at playing, but I know what sounds good and doesn't sound good.

Thats a lot of essays. I would rather have two big ones and an exam.

Yeah. It's about 1 essay every month, prety much. It's alright, though--they're only 1000 words each.

Thats not too bad, but kind of sucks when you have your other classes on top of that.

Haha, yeah. :upset:

I hate this time of the semester. You have something due for everybody, all within, like, a week of each other.

Yeah... I passed in a paper today, one yesterday, I have one next week, as well as a midterm, and then 3 papers due the last week of November.

Midterm on a Saturday? Talk about getting the shaft.

I know, it sucks. I have a major paper due at the end of the month.

Frigging university. Ungh.

Profs really have no regard for their students, at least concerning workloads. They all know that the end of November when everything comes due, but without fail, they all still do it.

So... been 28 days since my Cap'n Jazz cd was mailed from St. Louis on it's way to Little Rock. I'm pretty sure it's lost in the mail.... probably in Cocoma, Indiana or something.

29 days until my a-little-over-a-month-long winter vacation!

Radiobass81 11-07-2006 06:33 PM

Last semester, I was really worried about my Spanish grade (I had one goal, and it was not to get anything lower than an A). I go to my teacher, and ask if I could see what my average is.

"Ok, you have an 89."
"Ah..."
"But I know you missed a week of class, and the day you came back you had to take a test and all, and you're a good student, so I'll give you the point."
"Thanks :)!"

Next day, 40% on another test. Bitching.

So for my jazz im thinking:
-all maple precision neck
-stacked knob passive tone circuit
-bridge: gotoh? schaller? id like to put a schaller on but im afraid itll look weird.
-Pickups: dimarzio model J? or just go nuts and drop in some darkstars.

gah

Ting 11-07-2006 07:50 PM

Not really a fan of the darkstar look.

The Brad 11-07-2006 07:51 PM

Why would you mess with it so much if you love it so?

Az_Holl 11-07-2006 07:53 PM
Why would you mess with it so much if you love it so?
...I dont love it so? I dont liek the look of the neck, the G string saddle is slipping and the pickups are bland.

Originally i just wanted a body and a scratchpalte to work on, but this turned out to be cheaper.

cogh chough juan alderete cough cough...but, if i needed a new four string it would definately be something of those likes as well.

The Brad 11-07-2006 07:57 PM

Oh... I thought I remembered you saying that it played better than any other of your basses.

Az_Holl 11-07-2006 07:57 PM

The only thing i got from Alderete was the pickups really. Everything else is inspired from other artists

also the stacked knobs, but he isn't the only one with that. either way it sounds like a sweet bass.
