1. yes, dave did get fired around kill em all (i dunno exact time). the two songs he wrote that arent on kill em all are "ride the lightning" and "call of the ktulu" which are on the ride the lightning album. i guess metallica put them on ride the lightning to make him happy, after what happened.

2. kill em all used to have "am i evil" and "blitzkrieg" as bonus tracks on it. they are now on garage days inc like all the other covers they have done.

hope that helped :thumb:

i am going to a metallica concert in about 3 months or so and i have never seen them live are their shows any good and do they play anything off of saint anger because i don't like any of the songs on that album

Godmic 09-02-2004 08:41 PM

Their shows are f***ing awesome! They do play two... maybe three songs off of St. Anger, but they play a bunch of their good stuff as well. They play One, Master of Puppets, Battery, Nothing Else Matters and a few others. Don't worry about St. Anger, though. The songs are MUCH better live.

Who is Metallica playing with?

I was in the back for a Metallica/Godsmack concert(was the f*** in back, as far back as possible) and I was temporarily deaf for the rest of the week because of ONE. It is mind-numbing how cool that intro is. I love it.

Dave was fired before they actually recorded Kill'em All. Dave also said to NOT put any of his stuff on any of the recordings but as we know, Metallica put his stuff on both Kill'em All and Ride the Lightning.
all the pyro was insane huh!??!
lol That's one way to put it. It's always a good pyro show when the band has to go under the stage for protection.

ooh
ive always heard that metallica put daves stuff oon their albums to make him happy

personally, i think its quite pathetic to fire someone and then use their compositions to make money

dave wrote (and still writes) such kickass songs! :thumb:

anybody got a fave song on garage inc?
mines whisky in the jar

Zmev 09-04-2004 02:22 AM

breadfan, or turn the page

ForTheMusic22 09-04-2004 06:22 AM
breadfan, or turn the page
wow, that's tough. breadfan is cool, and has some kick@ss transitions in it, but turn the page was such a classic even before metallica rocked it the way they do (which makes it even better). i think metallica really did both of those songs justice with their renditions.
