Yes, but you should like yourself for the way you are, and it doesn't seem like it.
I don't like myself because I'm stupid. But that's slightly irrelevant. |
Gym = You have to be in shape to go to the gym. Or so they say
Sports = Your opinion is very biased.
I don't like gyms and I am in shape so I will cut you some slack. But as for sports, I have friends who aren't big sports fans but don't mind shooting hoops or playing some casual pickup football. Just as long as you get some exercise in. |
I've always liked playing sports (I'm not like a sports freak, I don't even play a sport for my school anymore). But I guess a lot of people never care to do it, so whatever.
|
DE: I know.
I can see someone not going to the gym everyday--personally, I hate gyms. But I never understood why someone wouldn't go out and play sports outside if it's nice out.
Thats why Ive only been in this thread twice for the past one or two months...the weather is beutiful. One of the only, or largest , reason people lack physical activities is video games. Im not gonna go bashing on them because i used to love em, but now i dont find any enjoyment in them at all. |
*Back from a serious computer screw up.
I went into the thead and Ray still had his "The Dude" avatar and user title, whereas ATM still had the THom Yorke one, and the latest post was Ray saying he lost his virginity on a sofa and it wasn't that great. I don't play videogames much. I used to. I wouldn't mind casual shooting hoops. Football seems like faggotry to me. |
Dont be bashin on football man...
I dont like basketball, so when i play, i seriously screw around really bad. If somebody throws a tantrum, or takes it too seriously so nobody enjoys it, i just sit down - no questions. The graphics for the new systems dont look that good to me. Maybe if you spend more time infront of the crappier ones, the new ones will look better, but from my Point of view, i dont see whats so great about em |
When i used to have to play basketball at school, i was really obnoxious and just bitchslapped anyone in my way, and knocked people's glasses off and crap.
Even people on my team. I thought it was funny. |
I'm pretty sure I made that post with the Bootsy avatar, but meh.
What's so faggoty about football? It's not as good as basketball, but it's still good. |
If i did that to the guys around here, theyd probably just piss and moan about how bad i suck, since they clearly cant take a loss themselves, and refuse to accept the fact im screwing around. I hate when sports are ONLY based on winning and losing. Thats why i stopped playing them all in 'organized' leagues.
|
I actually meant to put Faggotry, the act of being gay, not the adjective form.
I don't know, throwing a football just seems stupid to me, and it also requires movement. But then again so does basketball, but i always thought basketball was better. |
and it also requires movement
Oh heaven forbid
If i did that to the guys around here, theyd probably just piss and moan about how bad i suck, since they clearly cant take a loss themselves, and refuse to accept the fact im screwing around. I hate when sports are ONLY based on winning and losing.
I don't care all that much about winning or losing, but I do get upset when someone doesn't take it seriously at all. So I would get pissy at you. |
I just think sports have gotten too competitive. I dont mind losing or winning, but people dont realize that games are much more fun if they arent so serious.
What Im seeing (and it could just be the people i hang with), is if you do something right in a sport - whatever, that was sopposed to happen. If you do something wrong - then you get all pissed off and play worse and even the better things cant come make up for it...because thats already whats expected. In the end, it seems to have a negative effect on people who take it over-serious, so im a little more laid back. |
Once again, I don't mind losing as much so long as everyone is at least trying. If I was stuck on a team with you and my team lost, yes, I would be pissed off.
|
Like a year ago I thought "Hmm. Maybe I should play baseball." Then I thought about it and said hell no.
The love of my life plays Soccer. That's irrelevant. |
well i still play, i just do some stuff you probably wouldnt expect me too, and sometimes it works. I wouldnt slap my own teamates, but try to intimidate the other team. but whenever i do something like that, whether it works or not, i usually get critisized as a 'bad player'. Their arent any official styles of playing sports, and should be as loose as expression in music or art. Its not like everybody has to go by the same technique...i hate that.
i used to play soccer CG. I loved it too, except that time i got clocked in the face by a ball. Maybe the only time i passed out for well over 5 minutes. At least that i remember |
Yea, I don't cry or anything if my team loses, but I do have a natural urge to compete thats telling me to try to win. And when you make a mistake, part of the mindset about playing sports is to not get pissed and worry about it, but to keep playing hard and smart.
|
I don't like soccer that much. I used to play basketball a lot, not anymore though cause I broke my finger playing basketball
|
I'm over that girl though now. She keeps talking to that pussy Nick Pierce kid.
My brother got hit by a hockeypuck. My mom got hit by a baseball. Fun. |
If it's anything, I wrestle. It's awesomely good times.
AND, on the subject of being hit with things, I've accidently owned myself in the head with a baseball bat. That's no fun. Somehow, though, I managed not to fall down or for that fact, respond at all... |
Their arent any official styles of playing sports, and should be as loose as expression in music or art.
Basketball allows more self-expression than any other team sport. |
If it's anything, I wrestle. It's awesomely good times.
I wrestled my freshman and sophomore years, but I noticed right before the season was about to start this year that I really wasn't into it. In wrestling especially, you have to be completely set on being successful for it to happen, and I knew as soon as I lost the will to give 100% all the time, there was no point in even doing it. That and I hated cutting weight. That was like hell. But wrestling is a great sport though. |
I like to think of sports more mental then physical. You have to stay focused, and recover from mistakes instantaniously rather then complaining about them. Ive seen that mistake take people down hard before. Especially Golfing....
I got hit by a baseball in a selected area at the batting cages i work at. They hurt more then i thought. .. I only wrestled for 1 year. Our team came in first in the county, but unfortuanantly, they didnt match people up according to size, so i got a few nice slams done to me in there. The only move i remember is a full/half nelson. |
Wrestling never interested me all that much.
|
I don't like wrestling at all, I usually lose cause I'm so light and weak :upset:
|
I think it's definitely one of the hardest sports, both mentally and physically.
|
Id say the hardest mental sport is Golf
the hardest physical sport might need to be divided which you have weapons with Theirs just so many sports now its hard to keep up with. ITs hard to even say which ones we should give a dam about any more |
Hi Strangers.
