I think it could get big in the underground scene, but probably not dominate anybody.

holy_roller99 02-23-2006 12:13 PM

I dunno, something has to come along and get rid off all this confounded hardcore/posthardcore/metalcore/everythingcore. Something fun you know? Like music just about getting your kicks.

asdf 02-23-2006 12:20 PM

http://www.myspace.com/dangerville Is the only rockabilly band I know around here (although I think there's more) and their quite good. Not exactly big with any of the punks, though.

There is about 7 people like that at school but i doubt they would ever touch a guy

Have you listened to the other Erik Petersen material? I prefer Bakenal to Smash the Windows and his "solo" stuff (when he does record multiple instruemnts) is good too. Check out Bellingham and Philadelphia, which is a split with Robert Blake, and the recording of him live at the Punx Picinic in Baltimore.

MX tabs lives!!!

Yep, I have all those albums plus some. His side of Bellingham and Philidelphia is incredible also. Smash the Windows is still probably my favorite thing that he has done.

Liebensaft 02-23-2006 04:15 PM

It's a shame you don't live in Philadelphia suburbs so you can go see him. ;)

Which part of the burbs do you live in?

Daniel! 02-23-2006 04:17 PM

He would be so much fun to see live. Does he ever play with a band?

Liebensaft 02-23-2006 04:19 PM
Which part of the burbs do you live in?
I don't live too close to the city. I live right near Quakertown which is around 45 minutes from the city.

He was incredible to see live. He does play with a band occasionally, but didn't when I saw him. A friend of mine in my town's only punk band, who also happens to listen to Erik Petersen was telling me that the drummer from a band they've played with, called Radix, plays with Erik Petersen when he plays with a back-up band.

D & V 02-23-2006 04:36 PM

I quit the internet, guys. so you may never see me on slsk or here again. don't bother replying to this, i'll never end up reading it.

At _JR. Chicks hate it when you use too much tongue, and keep the saliva exchanging to a minimum.

DaveToopes 02-23-2006 05:32 PM

Look at mister make-out expert over here!

If he was actually good at making out, he wouldn't be dead. Don't believe a word he says JR.

But do keep the saliva exchange down to a minimum.

I'm an amateur as well, so when I do get the chance, I'm definitely taking Skrunnch's advice.

Get to know her for who she is, then maybe you'll learn to love her.
