darkest hour is one of the tightest live bands i've ever seen, even if you're not a fan, leaving before they play is idiotic. they're kind of a big deal for a reason, you owe it to yourself to at least stay and see what it's about, if only for a few songs.

nah, the scenes pretty dead. 3-4 years ago there used to be shows every week from decent tours that would come through, but because utica is basically the center of the state it became a place where albany kids would come to fight syracuse/auburn/rochester kids, and then they all started fighting each other and now everyone hates everyone.

last decent show here was suffokate last winter, but they fucking suck so idk. mongoloids and death before dishonor are playing in january, and supposedly this shady booker is or at least was trying to set up TUI somewhere around here, but we'll see how that actually goes.
