Monstrosity-Spiritual Apocalypse as well

Behemoth-The Apostasy isn't bad either, but not as good as their previous work and definitely not going to convert anyone who doesn't like them already.

Charizard 11-18-2007 03:01 PM

Light This City's last album came out last September, so that sort of counts....

I'm gonna see them my second time tonight too. :)

Bataan Death March is opening, zomg.

masscows 11-18-2007 03:06 PM

I wish that tour came near me, seeing Vader and Malevolent Creation would've been cool.

Charizard 11-18-2007 03:06 PM

Malevolent Creation sucks....

It's all about Light This City and Veil Of Maya

pate 11-18-2007 03:07 PM

MC used to be good.

and lol @ Veil of Maya, let's just steal the name of songs.

masscows 11-18-2007 03:08 PM

Light this City is much, much worse. Their only selling point is their vocalist, who sucks, but is a chick. If they had a male vocalist no one would give two shits about them because they're as generic as they come.

Charizard 11-18-2007 03:08 PM

No... Light This City owns... best recent straight up melodic death band, hands down.

And listen to the song Fear Of Heights, Laura's vocals are absurd on that song.

pate 11-18-2007 03:10 PM

Light this Shitty

masscows 11-18-2007 03:10 PM

Most ****ing generic and shitty recent straight up melodic death band

Oh yes I forgot about Monstrosity. Great record.

Another melo death band with a female vocalist?

Haha, I thought the same thing.

pate 11-18-2007 03:25 PM

brb getting a new band together, "Piece of Time"

Angmar 11-18-2007 03:30 PM

If you go solo change your name to Mother Man!

pate 11-18-2007 03:39 PM

But why bother? There's no truth with that name. In the formative years I was enthralled in essence and the psychic saw your life's retribution.

:lol::lol::lol:

You must spread some Reputation before giving it to Pate again.

you have an unquestionable presence in these forums

masscows 11-18-2007 04:50 PM

So guys, I know I fail at death metal for this, but the only Death album I have is TSOP. What's their best one to pick up next?

Angmar 11-18-2007 04:51 PM

Human, ITP or Symbolic.

Tyler 11-18-2007 04:52 PM

Leprosy

truth on both accounts. Retribution is a good album. I've been putting off getting The Ten Commandments for some time now.

masscows 11-18-2007 04:57 PM

I think I'll get Leprosy since I require more oldschool death metal anyway, then Symbolic, then the others.

rattlehead42147 11-18-2007 04:59 PM

Human.

Good call. Symbolic is my favorite album of all time and Leprosy is close behind it... You should go for Individual Thought Patterns after that.

rattlehead42147 11-18-2007 05:09 PM

anyone for Gorement?
NP The Lost Breed

LifeInABox 11-18-2007 05:17 PM

Leprosy and Human ftw

Aakon_Keetreh 11-18-2007 05:46 PM

Took the letters from my finger-tips.

Not to mention ITP has James Murphy:naughty:

pate 11-18-2007 06:07 PM

Oh god

publicastration 11-18-2007 07:05 PM

So I'm looking for some good brutal death of the "slam groove" variety.

I like Wormed if they count, and Goretrade. I also heard one band called Carnivore Diprosopus that was pretty cool.

Tyler 11-18-2007 07:15 PM

Don't ever call Wormed "slam groove" again.

LifeInABox 11-18-2007 07:18 PM

They do have a similar sound.

Notice I put a disclaimer as well: "if they count"

They have one slow "breakdown-like" part and gutteral vocals.

Perhaps I'm not very well informed on whatever the hell slam groove is.

I just figured that since Wormed have a "slamming groove" in their songs that counted. lol

Invicta_Veritas 11-18-2007 09:24 PM

"Slam-Groove"? You have got to be kidding me.

So fucking stupid.

C.O.A. 11-18-2007 09:36 PM

Wtf is slam groove?

Invicta_Veritas 11-18-2007 09:38 PM

Probably some stupid ass genre name some kid came up with because they thought it sounded cool, and then a bunch of other dumbass kids believed him, and so on and so forth.

Sometimes this genre thing gets so fucking retarded.

LifeInABox 11-18-2007 09:38 PM

From New York. It's like stupid breeing with constant "heavy" breakdowns and hyper blasts. It's another stupid genre that was specific to one band that has now grown to be a massive thing.
