I looked into a patent, but there was no way to do it correctly.

That sucks then, guess you are just going to have to make yours better so people buy it.

So, I just posted an elaborate explanation of the fibonacci sequence in some other thread.

I don't even know what that means.

So what does everyone think of the new incubus song? I think that they are trying to be the chili peppers. IMO it sounds like it could have fit on stadium arcadium easily. Cool bass line though.

Are you talking about "Anna-Molly"?

When I saw the end of the music video, I saw some black guy in a top hat with some sort of Fender (he was turned around), but I think it was a Fender Jazz. Was that Marcus Miller, by chance?

This is what it means.

I basically pointed the most obvious signs of the Fibonacci Sequence in Tool's "Lateralus."

No, that is ben. Their bass player, he plays a lakland. And that is the song that I am talking about.

Because of that sequence, phi, the golden number, can be found as a limit of each term divided by the next sequencial term. Or, Phi (which is phi squared and exactly 1 + phi) is just opposite phi: each term divided by the preceding term in the sequence.

Phi/phi are the golden ratios that are found throughout nature.

You'd have to be a nerd and really into Sacred Geometry, as both Danny Carey and myself are.
found a solution to your printing problems yet?
No, sorry. I've been so swamped with school/work/life that I haven't had a chance to go out and hunt for a good price on printing.

Akira 11-14-2006 07:02 PM

Wow, the driving test is such a joke.

PaulSimonon 11-14-2006 07:05 PM

Shyeah, you take it from your driver's ed place or what?
Shyeah, you take it from your driver's ed place or what?
Yeah. He had me do a parallel park in the parking lot without a car in front of me or behind me.

Jamie 11-14-2006 07:08 PM

Guess who passed their driving test this morning!!!! :D

PaulSimonon 11-14-2006 07:09 PM
Yeah. He had me do a parallel park in the parking lot without a car in front of me or behind me.
Hahaha, niiiice. I didn't even parallel park at all...

BTW, I might be playing two sets at a battle of the bands during December at the Ben and Ari's off of SR 37.... You should totally come and watch me groove. Especially in my jam band...

It's not that bad at all if you are taught right.

I'll definitely try to get to that gig

I was taught right, but I just don't like doing it.

What I need is one of those Lexus' that automatically parallel park.

PaulSimonon 11-14-2006 07:17 PM

I'll let you know what's going on as we get closer, none of it is solid as of right now. Just don't expect me to be pulling off a lot of flashy/technical stuff. You might see some tapping, some slapping, but mostly low key grooves.

Killer Fridge 11-14-2006 07:40 PM

Ahh, I get to play Sir Duke this week with my band "Dr Headlock and the Cowpunchers". Im so stoked.

Heres my rendition with the original panned to the right, and me panned to the left, so the distinction between the "good" original and the "sloppy" cover can be recognised :D This is really a test to see how my new selection of strings sounded recorded, because they just sound so damn good on my bass live, there had to be a setback. So far, none. They are DR Lowriders, 40-100 gauge, and they are, so far, my favourite strings. Ever. Ive never heard this bass sound so good

Takes a few seconds to start

BenJammin 11-14-2006 07:46 PM

Strings rock. I can't wait till I change the 20-month old Elixirs on my Ibanez. I bet it will just sing after.
