I have been away and now it looks like dylan was disussed without me or my avatar being consulted?

BludgeonySteve 10-08-2004 08:34 PM

Well, we can't consult you unless you're here. You can express your opinion now.

Broken Arrow 10-08-2004 08:37 PM

I think Dylan just came out with his first set of memoirs?

Creedence Clearwater 10-08-2004 08:39 PM

yah, can i help you all make reference to his new book, his autobiography. Or the fact that he hasn't done a good live show since Glebe Stockholm 97 because after he nearly died that year his vocal shords have litterally been shreaded. he fact he doesn't care about the even a little bit doesn't help

Creedence Clearwater 10-08-2004 08:40 PM

I recomend it as a new Friday Night entertainment thing. Although we can still do debates.

Im 16 and i live in Adelaide, South AUstralia. No one, i have ever met, under 40 ever talks about classic rock. I started to download(sorry, but i did) some hendrix, and i was told by my dad to get all along the watchtower, which i mistakenly got the original by Bob Dylan, and developed a taste for Dylan, Clapton, and a bit differently though Zeppelin and Floyd.

matt440 10-09-2004 07:27 AM

Ccr?

IAJP 10-09-2004 07:32 AM
What si everybody favourite Beatles song???
Creedence Clearwater Revival.

BludgeonySteve 10-09-2004 08:38 AM

CCR rocks.

Creedence Gold, Their s/t album and More Creedence Gold are all fabulous (I bet the rest are but those are the only ones i have :/

Badmoon 10-09-2004 08:50 AM

"Down on the Corner" sounds like "Whiskey in the Jar" (the ways it's supposed to be performed)

lunch998 10-09-2004 09:00 AM

I actually don't own any CCR, so what album do you recommend I get? I'm leaning towards Green River.

Broken Arrow 10-09-2004 09:07 AM

Cosmo's Factory is pretty good :thumb:

BludgeonySteve 10-09-2004 09:07 AM

Green River (the song) rocks. I bet the album does too.

Creedence Gold, Their s/t album and More Creedence Gold <-----teh essentials I sez

lunch998 10-09-2004 09:23 AM

Cool. Now if only I had some money.....

Dark Hero 10-09-2004 09:49 AM

How come no one ever talks about The Zombies? There one of the best bands of the 60's IMO.

They are good, but they aren't well known enough, unfortunately.

On a completely unrelated note, I just realized the Boxer by Simon and Garfunkel is one of my favorite songs ever.

LedZepFreak 10-09-2004 10:07 AM

I wonder which Who I should recommend...try these
My Generation, Pinball Wizard, Amazing Journey, The Seeker, We Don't Get Fooled Again, Substitute, Baba O'riley, Slip Kid...
Personally I prefer the earlier Who stuff, but most people like the stuff I just suggested.
