The AVA cd seems like it might be pretty cool... as much of a wanker Delonge sounds when he's talking about how alienishly amazing they are, what i've heard sounds cool. But there are so many new cds coming out and I'm already broke... eg. Radiohead (who knows when though...), Muse and Taking Back Sunday... some of my favourite bands. Goddamn I'm poor.

Pazz 02-24-2006 03:24 PM

I plan on buying both the albums.

HitHardDrums55 02-24-2006 03:26 PM

new tbs is crap.

Surtr 02-24-2006 06:53 PM

I plan on getting AVA album for sure..And then maybe a week or so later the Plus44 album..I'm gonna' hate it though if any of these 2 bands catch on and I end up listening to it on the radio while 13 year old retards sing along thinking their punk because they listen to AVA..

HitHardDrums55 02-24-2006 07:51 PM

at least you'll be able to say "i listened to these guys wayyyyy before they hit the radio or tv"

Surtr 02-24-2006 07:59 PM

And people will go..Oh..Well **** you, because I'm listening to it now :p

FauxApathy 02-25-2006 11:09 AM

I'm going to buy Plus-44. Probably not AvA though. Tom Pisses me off.

Surtr 02-25-2006 11:23 AM

Why does he piss you off?

HitHardDrums55 02-25-2006 12:05 PM

probably the same reason people have been saying they're upset about:

he's blowing AVA up to be this huge band and will change the world, when it probably won't be anything that life-changing or important.

i'm still probably going to buy both albums though, if AVA is good i don't care if it's not as good as tom says it will be, as long as its pleasurable to listen to.

it's like when people like bands that nobody knows, then they create the exact same type of music, but people actually find out about them and they go mainsream and everyone who liked them before they got big is like "OH THEY FÜCKING SUCK!" when really its the same music, just bigger fanbase and more than likely more money for the band (which can lead to better recording quality if the old stuff was rough recordings)

EDITED - Just orderd my tickets. Im happy.

dancetomdance182 02-25-2006 02:01 PM

No shows in US yet...

Untitled 02-25-2006 02:11 PM

Hehe.

Tom Delonge said in that interview Spence posted a while back he wanted his first few shows to be in the Uk because we have the best crowds, and he did his last ever blink tour in the uk, which i went :(, and he wants to start off in the uk.

He also said he thinks Europeans will understand AVA more then americans or something.

Untitled 02-25-2006 04:42 PM

Oh wow, the AVA store is up https://secure.feamerch.com/stores/ava/

he's probably right about Eurpeans understanding AVA more
I've been saving up, I want Plus-44 more than AVA though.
321 AVA> +44

edit: IMO that is.

Bad Blood 02-25-2006 06:26 PM

Tom will do better than Mark will.

Even though from what we've heard AVA > +44 I think +44 will be amazing and just as good/better than AVA.

Virus278 02-25-2006 07:08 PM

hey, who was the guy in here that did the cover of dammit?

These_Green_Eyes 02-25-2006 07:54 PM

It was "redrum six six 6" or something like that.

Surtr 02-25-2006 08:23 PM

Yeah, it was that guy..

punkrocker-182 02-26-2006 12:12 AM

Has Anyone heard "Plus 44" Yet?

Pazz 02-26-2006 12:16 AM

Yes we have, and I suggest you make a new account with a different name before you get mad flamed.
