I don't, animals are bred to be eaten. They would have never existed to begin with if people didn't eat them

Which I think would be preferable, as existence entails suffering. So if their existence is not absolutely necessary (which of course it is not), then they shouldn't be bred.

Btw, after a long discussion with a friend who studies philosophy, we arrived at the conclusion that the hypothesis in that paper hasn't successfully been proven, but the contrary can never be proven either.

they're animals, who cares. It doesn't affect your or anyones live if the animal is bred to die.

It just feels wrong to me, so yeah, it actually does affect my life, so I personally appreciate such efforts and that's why I don't eat meat and try to avoid most animal products, that's all.
