I've done a few things where I've gone a month or so not eating meat and I thought I would miss/crave it but I really didn't.

I definitely give credit to the vegetarians out there as it forces you to be creative with your meals.

As much as I'd love to try and go vegetarian, I wouldn't survive family holidays. Plus a vegetarian Jamaican is kind of an oxymoron...

texture is only one part of it, and there is a huge distinction between first class cuts of venison and lesser meats. and meat that has been prepared and cooked properly, but it seems you wouldn't know anything about that.

yea theres also a huge distinction in how much they cost

chicken is cheap, has good texture, can be prepared a million different ways, and is low in fat/saturated fat
