Yeah it's pretty weird, it's just a visual display of the part where James sings the words that seem to make no sense together.

GenuineImitation 07-31-2006 10:45 AM
It was played during one of the instrumental parts during Octavarium. It's pretty funny and cool at the same time.:thumb:
If I remember correctly, Rudess was dressed as either a Wizard or Santa for part of the cartoon.

temporary 07-31-2006 10:48 AM

Hey, has anyone heard of the band Frameshift? Their a side project with James LaBrie, I just got their album Unweaving the Rainbow. Dumb title, but its really good.

GenuineImitation 07-31-2006 10:49 AM

I didnt know James had a side project other than his solo stuff. Is it similar to DT?

temporary 07-31-2006 10:52 AM

Sort of, but its more direct and more James' show.

So its more like Another Day or Hollow Years than The Glass Prison on Never Enough?

Lord Abortion 07-31-2006 11:09 AM

If you haven't heard he, Devin Townsend and Mikael Akerfeldt on Ayreon's wonderful The Human Equation...you really, really should.

No, I havent heard it. I havent heard new much music since my sound card stopped woring. I just listen to what I have on CDs. Its a real bummer.

pate 07-31-2006 11:34 AM

You need to. Amazing album, but with a lame as hell ending.

eighty d 07-31-2006 11:43 AM

For another of James's projects check out Mullmuzzler. I think that's what it was called.

And yes The Human Equation is an absolute masterpiece of an album. When I first got it I could not stop listening to it.

And Marcela Bovio, bitch.

I was listening to that album last night. Love it...almost as good as Into The Electric Castle.
If I remember correctly, Rudess was dressed as either a Wizard or Santa for part of the cartoon.
Both.:thumb:

Or at least he has a hat on, then all of a sudden his head transforms into a santa head. It was a very "omgwtf" moment.:thumb:

And yeah Frameshift is pretty good.

I seem to remember more of the cartoon than I thought. A little less than a month until its released gentlemen.

I hope I'm immortalized on this dvd. If the camera pans to the right orchestra section(looking at the stage), then I'll be in clear view. :thumb:

GenuineImitation 07-31-2006 03:28 PM

I hope Im immortalized (and my MX shout out sign) as well. I was on Myung's side.

Is that the same cover of money as their Dark Side of the Moon DVD?

eug008 08-01-2006 01:14 AM

Think so, it says on the side, anyone here own the DVD? I would order it but it would probably take months to get to Australia

Lord Abortion 08-01-2006 06:20 AM

I'm going to raid YTSEjam records when I get some money in my bank account.

eug008 08-01-2006 07:40 AM

I would do that if i had a credit card, but I dont. I guess I'll just wait for Christmas.

inassociationwithdeanlearner 08-01-2006 02:40 PM

Yeah i would also do that if it wasn't for lack of a credit card, however i can get my mate to order it and i just give him the money.

Takes 4-6 weeks though:( i want my DT now.

Jev 08-01-2006 03:25 PM

I hate that. By the time it's arrived, you forget you've ordered it.

pizzapie88 08-02-2006 02:25 AM
Quoted for others who missed it.
I would have missed it if it weren't for that post. Thanks heaps :thumb:

FatalEnergy 08-02-2006 02:30 AM

I saw them play Comfortably Numb with Queensryche. Absolutely amazing.

eug008 08-02-2006 02:35 AM

That video pwns any other comfortably numb cover, just amazing

inassociationwithdeanlearner 08-02-2006 03:31 AM
I hate that. By the time it's arrived, you forget you've ordered it.
Its better to forget about it though cus then its a nice surprise when it arrives, as opposed to a long agonizing wait.

inassociationwithdeanlearner 08-02-2006 04:04 AM

By the way does anyone have any other audio or video of the DSOTM gig?

eug008 08-02-2006 04:45 AM

Yeh, I uploaded that CD (both disks) a while ago. Email?

inassociationwithdeanlearner 08-02-2006 05:59 AM

Am I the only one on earth who thinks that Comfortably Numb isn't a good song?

pate 08-02-2006 12:51 PM

Yes.

Lord Abortion 08-02-2006 01:27 PM

Yes, yes you are.
