http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4435593179243241083
That thing is pretty funny, my cousin showed it to me months ago. My sister really likes Fall Out Boy, and she was listening to this song a few days ago, and I started sing the chorus according to Andrew Mathas and she got reall pissed off. But seriously, thig guy sounds like he's singing through a rolled-up pair of socks. |
Give an example, i.e. a song in which said effect is used.
I'm thinking it might just be a reverb pedal or something.
It's not really any specific song. I'll find one anyone though. It's not an effect really, it's just their distortion. I'm used to having a high refined distorion because I play alot of hardcore and metal, and alot of the stuff I've wanted to play lately has lighter distorion, and I can't get my pedal to sound right. I've came close, but it's still missing the twanginess, I guess you could say. It's not just Against Me that uses this, but they were the first band that popped into my head. try the song "Mutiny on Electric Bay". It's a good example. |

I am eating the Israeli equivalent of a Sunday lunch (except sundays aren't a day off in Israel, so really it's a Saturday lunch): chopped raw onion, chopped raw tomato, two hard-boiled eggs, some Greek yoghurt and three burrekas. MMMMMMM.
EDIT: I rewrote another Woodie Guthrie song, yaaaay! I kept some of his words: The Biggest Thing That Man Has Ever Done I'm just a lonesome traveller, the Great Historical Bum, Highly educated, from history I have come, I built the rock of ages, 'twas in the year of one, That's about the biggest thing that man has ever done. I worked in the garden of eden, it was the year of two, I fought the Lord's angels and gained my liberty true, I'm the guy who signed the contract to free the rising sun, That's about the biggest thing that man has ever done. I was in Egypt's royal courts and in Moses's cane too, I opened up the Red Sea, let the migrant children through, I've seen a million fall in love and and cared for every one, That's about the biggest thing that man has ever done. I beat the oppressive Roman, and the oppressive Turk, Defeated Nero's armies in thirty minutes' work, I fought the greatest leaders and licked them every one, That's about the biggest thing that man has ever done. I was in every revolution, that set the people free, 'Twas in Spain against them fascists, that Emma stood by me, I took down every Nazi and I'll take down those to come, That's about the biggest thing that man has ever done. There's a man in Number Ten and I guess you know him well, His name is Tony Bliar and damn his soul to hell, I'll kick him in the ASBOs and put him on the run, That'll be the biggest thing that man has ever done. There's mines and mills and factories that slave for Uncle Bush, I'll show the workers liberty, they'll kick him in the tush, They'll make their own decisions, have their lives for them to run, That'll be the biggest thing that man has ever done. There's warehouse guys and teamsters and guys that build the Bomb, I'll plow through all the bull**** with a finetoothed comb, Exposing all the lies that made us all so dumb, That'll be the biggest thing that man has ever done. Well I better quit my talking 'cos I told you all I know, But please remember comrade, wherever you may go, The world is digging Bliar's grave and when the job is done, That'll be the biggest thing that man has ever done. I realise it doesn't look very impressive now, but if you like folk music and listen to Woodie sing The Biggest Thing That Man Has Ever Done, you will get so stoked. |
Happy xXValentine'sXDayXx, kids.

Nor can I. I also don't understand very much. The only time they seem logical is if you have a limited amount of typing space (like less than 100 characters) or you only have one hand availble and you need to type fast (although it doesn't take too long to build some speed with one hand) |

What year was the Kid Dynamite / 88 Fingers split released? I asked in hardcore/emo but I'd probably get a faster response here.
Whatev. I really like This Is Hell. I saw them with the Distance and With Honor, and they were at least twice as good as both bands...combined.
I saw that tour too. With Honor owned both of the other mentioned bands. The Distance is absolutely terrible. |
So. Shameless is over =(. Now my life has no meaning until the next season.

With Honor were boring as hell. |
I'm listening to all of GCF's album. I'm on Between Christian Rock and a Hard Place now. It's been such an awesome hour or so of positivity.
