Toasters?

Liebensaft 02-12-2006 08:59 PM

Who let you into the Gogol jar?

ThisUserIsAPipebomb 02-12-2006 09:00 PM

What the fuck is a jar?

Liebensaft 02-12-2006 09:04 PM

It's this round thing. You put stuff in it.

Like money, or cookies, or drugs.

Part of my satire for English:
"A. There is absolutely nothing in any type of music that is worth keeping, or even worth a single listen and should not exist.
1. Jazz
a. Skillful improvisation? More like random notes and chaotic beats with no pulse.
b. How anyone can be entertained by the lack of rhythm or structure in the works of Miles Davis for more than a minute is absurd.
2. Metal
a. Clichéd dark lyrics shouted over something almost as tolerable as a construction site.
b. Perhaps bands like Cryptopsy should try to make cheesy horror films instead of mimicking bulldozers.
3. Latin
a. Rhythmic percussion? More like the boring beating of trash cans.
b. Tito Puente would be of more use at ‘percussive maintenance,’ or fixing broken machinery, rather than pounding aimlessly on timbales.
4. Punk
a. Diverse political music? It’s a shame every band looks and sounds the same.
b. Maybe bands like Crass should have published literary works instead of singing ‘intelligent politics’ unintelligibly over scratchy noise.
5. Hip-Hop
a. Immature, but true: You can’t spell ‘crap’ without ‘rap.’
b. NWA could be considered poets if every other word didn’t have to be censored."

Only part of it and only an outline.

AndreTheHyena 02-12-2006 11:19 PM

Hilarious. Good thing that wasn't your 600th post.

Brain Toad 02-12-2006 11:20 PM

Man, Brain Toad has taste. I spent the whole w/e listening to some psychadelic tracks I burnt onto three or four cds. And I got stoned for the last time on Friday. Last time because I am quitting the drugs, and I've got like 3 people, including my usual dealer, making sure I don't get back into them.

Why the hell would you do that?

Culture Shock 02-13-2006 12:02 AM
I am quitting the drugs.
That is just silly.

AndreTheHyena 02-13-2006 12:02 AM

Cuz drugs are lame.

On a related note, this is how I plan on spending Valentine's: http://www.bumwine.com/cisco.html

RIP Ian Curtis 02-13-2006 12:03 AM

Would I quit? Because I do them too much, like every weekend. And not just pot, I do rock, speed, X, random pills and heroin. So I figured time to stop for at least a little while, get my mind back.

Culture Shock 02-13-2006 12:04 AM
get my mind back.
And then get the drugs back. At least a little bit.

RIP Ian Curtis 02-13-2006 12:06 AM

Yeah possibly, but I really need to stay off them for a few weeks/months, remember what it's like to feel normal.

Rise Me Up 02-13-2006 12:08 AM

Okay, heroin is bad. Stop it. Rock is bad. Stop that too. Don't start any amphetimines. Other than that I say go for it.

AndreTheHyena 02-13-2006 12:10 AM

Man, your drugs are really lame. You're going to die. Sheesh.

coheneran 02-13-2006 06:20 AM

Cisco sounds fun.

ARGH! GODAMNIT! I joked with some girl that I want to take rohypnol with her, and I meant robitussin! I am such a prick. I bet she's told everyone I'm a date rapist. God damnit.

EDIT: Exta is actually great fun, as is billy. But random pills usually end up being elephant tranquilizers and when you sober up you find yourself on a bouncy castle in midflight.

DaveToopes 02-13-2006 06:37 AM

Way to go...

_JR 02-13-2006 06:37 AM

wow, how can you even mix those up. that sucks though, good luck getting out of that

Special Brew 02-13-2006 06:39 AM

I can't get m guitar to have that shimmery sound that Against Me! has. If you know what I'm talking about, help me out. Their distortion doesn't seem to be as thick as I'm sued to. It's more "shimmery" and you can tell the chords very well.

coheneran 02-13-2006 06:59 AM

I made some great friends over the weekend. They were so lovely. There's Corinne (she's the one I accidentally said rohypnol to), Jo, Sean (he's from Perth), Anneli (I knew her from before but we never hung out much) and Katie.
I also met people I hadn't seen in ages. It's been such a great weekend. Except for the rohypnol bit. I usually call them roofies ('usually' is the wrong word, I don't usually get into roofie conversations, 'snot my thang), and Corinne was telling me that she has a really nasty cough so I said let's go to the pharmacy and get some rohypnol. I'm so lame. I bet I've said that tons before without noticing. No wonder I don't get laid these days.

RIP Ian Curtis 02-13-2006 08:48 AM

I've taken roofies before, not healthy at all. I didn't make any new friends on the weekend, I lost an old one and made stronger links with two of my best ones. Which I think is fine, fine fine.

Why the hell did you take roofies? You got a rapewish boy?

RIP Ian Curtis 02-13-2006 09:02 AM

Nah, wanted to see what they did. And it was with some mates of mine, and I woke up free of bum-pain. So nothing lost I suppose.

Maybe he fuc'ked your throat while you were out.

RIP Ian Curtis 02-13-2006 09:27 AM

Oh man, I never thought of that...

coheneran 02-13-2006 09:39 AM

Gonna walkie the doggie, be back in a jiffy. That is to say, three and a quarter ticks.

I met alot of people too. I met people that I sit next to in school that I never talk to. I also met some kid from Texas. :amaze: This weekend ruled!

I got off today because I got a foot of snow. Snow's sweet the first day or so but then it just gets old...
