For once? I only really started getting into the whole thing a few months ago.

What exactly do you suggest i listen to? On a daily basis i generally have extra helpings of ska, punk, metal, dance and industrial as well as the rockabilly + psychobilly.
I know what you listen to. You keep posting the same types of bands in that thread :p

Take yourself out of your comfort zone. Try tomorrow just listening to hip hop, and drum n bass. Theres a start.

Sunshine 02-10-2007 10:17 AM

Wow guys.

I just found out last night that it would take me an insanely long time to finish a beer.

Like, I didn't even have a WHOLE one, it was my boyfriend's that I took from him after he had already started.

And I still couldn't finish, a really really long time later =(

It was...Amber Bock?

Xorkofski 02-10-2007 10:20 AM

just gotta keep drinking....

Berk 02-10-2007 10:24 AM

Lamb Of God sucked.

MNdrummer21 02-10-2007 10:30 AM

Berk 02-10-2007 10:30 AM
just gotta keep drinking....
They say beer is an aquired taste.

I still have yet to aquire it, but I guess it's growing on me a little.

I couldn't drink TOO much, I was driving last night [but we watched an entire move, Pan's Labrinth, which I disliked muchly, inbetween beer and me driving so I could've afforded quite a bit more].

I hold my alcohol way better 'n people give me credit for, seriously.

TimJim 02-10-2007 10:36 AM

LoG sucks, though their riffs are cool

Crummy beer. It prob got warm too. There's a period of time one need dirnk a given beer in before it gets warm, and therefore tastes like poo.

Check out Bass, Sam Adams, Guniness, NewCastle, Harp, and SierraNevada for some excellent beers.

Xorkofski 02-10-2007 10:38 AM

stfu, LoG was the best gig i ever saw.

Guinness is great, if you like the taste of soil

Liking the white.

Berk 02-10-2007 10:43 AM

The nickel plated lugs are nice too.

Jezen 02-10-2007 10:44 AM
stfu, LoG was the best gig i ever saw.
I'm guessing you haven't seen many gigs.
Guinness is great, if you like the taste of soil
In my opinion, Guinness tastes gorgeous with blackcurrant.
I cant stand hiphop.
Neither can I. That's exactly why I listen to it, but not in the way you're thinking. I can't stand mainstream hip hop, where they talk about how hard they are or how many cars they've got. I listen to hip hop with real musicians. Have you checked out The Roots? The drummer is fantastic.

Berk 02-10-2007 10:46 AM

Omg, The Roots drummer blows.
He's total crap.
I dont know his name.

Lol.

Interesting. The pretty general opinion is that Guniness is on the far end of easy beers. It has almost no kick, it's smooth, it's friggin pasterized...

Compare Guiness to Tecate, Mickey's, or any other cheap beer.

Haha soil, curious do you drink coffee? I think coffee tastes like burnt wood.

Pfff if i had a bunch of cars i'd talk about em... wait.... you know BB, lotta rappers talk about the hard times on the street. Most of them came from far poorer circumstances then you or me. It gives other people in their situations hope and drive to contiune to pursue THEIR style of music.
There's lots of rap that talks about girls, cars (just in general), drugs, other people, friends, love, etc... and I mean main stream stuff. I'm talking about Snoop, Dr. Dre, Xzibit, Cypress Hill, Jay-Z, Ludacris, etc

Check out Jay-Z's MTV unplugged with the roots, sick show.

cocos gone what happened?

Xorkofski 02-10-2007 10:54 AM

coffee tastes nice tho...

and bb, my idea of a good gig is the kind where you come out bleeding...

gigging to me is more the atmosphere than the good music:P

Do you actually play an instrument? That is, I know of people who just go to shows, not cause of hte band or music but the atmosphere.

Are you meaning that from the stand point of a player on stage?

*I think good music has a direct relationship to the atmosphere being rad though.

TimJim 02-10-2007 10:55 AM

xork, r u cork aswell

Actually, it was like 40 degrees outside, it was still colder 'n me.

Especially when certain people would rest them on my legs or put them on my stomach. That was cold.

But yeah, I dunno, they all LOVED Amber Bock. I saw one guy with a Sam Adams, I guess they had a case of each, but like I said --- I didn't actually get my own haha.

We had to be careful, only one of the 8 (ish) of us was 21 haha.

But ya, I'll 'member that. Everybody shares drinks anyway, next time I see someone with one o' those I'll take it [or at least a sip of it].
