Well it is a pretty stupid holiday. It's only real purpose is for restaurants and Hallmark to make money as far as I can see.

Valentine's Day is one of the few "Calender Days" with no actual grounding in anything except f'ucking commerciality. And whenever I try and explain this to a girlfriend I may have on Valentine's Day, I get the "you aren't romantic, you have no soul" bullsh'it, despite the fact that I get roses sent into their classes or record whole tapes of me singing for them and stuff. Evil, manipulative devil women.

I hate valentines day.

It doesn't depress me, though.

I don't think I can be depressed right now. I just feel so good.

Infact, I've been feeling really good since I interviewed my school's janitor on friday for speech class. Most positive and awesome person I've ever met.

I've got too much to look forward to to be upset because I'm alone on a commercial holiday.

Valentine's Day is just stupid.

Yesterday we had a big street party to reclaim love from the corporations who ruin it with ideas like having to buy someone a gift by this or that brand is the only way to show how much you love them.

And then we went to a house party where there was oh so much free love. In Brixton.

I find that I make friends with girls easier than with guys. Girls can be way more mature. However, since most girls I know see me as a friend, it severely limits my ability to be more than friends.

And Valentine's Day is a load of bullsh'it. :mad:

I'm around people who care about Christmas, and so I too care.

No one around me cares about Valentines Day, so I see no reason to care.

We care about the love all year around, and our Valentine's Day-oriented party is a counter-celebration to literally reclaim the love from capitalism. On Christmasses we have vegan pizza-making workshops instead.
