The_Mop 02-02-2011 05:35 PM

Sup guys.

My right sock has a hole in it, perfectly inline and the size of my 2nd toe. It's like my foot is swearing at the ground like 'FUCK YOU PAVEMENT NOW HOW YOU GONNA ACT'

Yeah.

nght5tlkr 02-02-2011 10:55 PM

I can't believe I have class on New Year's Day. Unfortunately, I cannot not attend classes without being penalized. The only upside is that I will be attending my first guitar class.

On a related note, how would I bring a guitar to school without risking damage to it in <30°F weather?
On a related note, how would I bring a guitar to school without risking damage to it in <30°F weather?
Hard case.

Left Face Down 02-03-2011 12:12 AM

So there is like a 50% chance of snow in Houston, Tx tomorrow. If you've ever told some one, "I'll do that when hell freezes over." You might want to start doing those things now. Friggin global cooling man. Damn Eco-bastards are going to get us all killed.

//Yes, that is sarcasm

As said above: Hard Case

That and carry it with you. If the thing is bone dry it shouldn't be hurt unless you are leaving it in those conditions for days on end. It is safe to say if you're uncomfortable then don't leave it there. Probably a little over-protective, but if you don't want to sit in a car for 5 hours waiting for some one in sub-30 degree weather then your guitar doesn't want to either.

AG 02-03-2011 08:01 AM

It's a joke that you don't get out of classes.

I mean, I'm guessing you're chinese, right?
you will at least see Misha's incredibly sexy Mayones now
They were very sexy.

Fantastic gig as well, they were all really decent, down to earth guys and spent a lot of time after the show just chatting and signing stuff.

Tesseract's live sound is astonishingly good. I've never heard any band as tight and precise live. And their actual live mix isn't overly loud but is perfectly balanced. And their singer Dan was rather good.

Blue_Moon 02-03-2011 05:09 PM

wouldnt mind a chinese actually

happy new year

Yeah if you consider Tesseract a djent band, they're probably the only djent group I like. However, everything Tesseract does, I find in Textures and to a much more interesting extent. I'm a Textures fanboy.

Junooni 02-04-2011 02:31 AM

Saw a pretty cool looking cloud on the way home tonight, snapped a pic with my phone. Looked a bit like a pirate ship :smoke:

I likes me some Textures too, but Tesseract just do more for me in terms of how much I enjoy listening to it. I love the Textures album Silhouettes, but I just find TEsseract tick more boxes for me in terms of variance and song writing.

Hells yes bro, nice one. When's the interview?

Also Lod: I re-tweaked my rhythm tone and this just totally happened when I was jamming. Actually did it a while back but only just remembered. It starts off quite happy/generic but goes a bit different in the middle so if you could give it a listen that'd be belting. It's mainly the guitar tones/mix I'm looking to improve. I know the happy bits are a bit bland atm but that's cause I want to put lots of vocals on it.

Anyway, linky: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=572119&songID=10238853

Rhythm tone is beast. Which is good. I'd turn up the bass a tad, then it would be super beast.

Also, riffs are awesome.

Ah mint, nice one mate. Not too mid-heavy is it? And yeah it's dead hard to mix the bass right on these speakers cause they emphasise the bass quite a lot, but I've got some nice headphones for my birthday for help with mixing/for reference. The song itself isn't overly cheesy is it? I mean, it is, but not too much?

Squirrel 02-05-2011 02:46 PM

I listened to your song SBT and thoroughly enjoyed it, I really, really like the tone.

Sad But True 02-05-2011 07:00 PM

Awesome! Thanks dude. :)

Well, that's my tone sorted for the new recordings, I just have to sort a complimentary tone for the other guitar and mix the bass a little better.

Nah man, I love me some mids. Only losers scoop the mids.

And yeah, cool song, I dig it like a spade.

God damnit, I haven't seen him live yet. And now I won't.

Still trying to verify this through another source.

EDIT: No article up yet, but it's in the Breaking News banner on the BBC.

EDIT 2: Bugger. There's an article on the Beeb. That's it confirmed for me.

RIP Gary.

Sad But True 02-06-2011 01:56 PM

Shitballs. Hell of a player. I listened to Parisienne Walkways in tribute.

Epidemechanical 02-06-2011 02:04 PM

SBT,

holy fucking limiter batman

you could build a house with that brick waveform brah

tone is dec even though riffs are boring and song doesnt really go anywhere or do anything

riff around 2:55 or whatever is prolly only good riff imo

Sad But True 02-06-2011 03:05 PM

Yeah I just chucked on a limiter quick so I could record some shit. I'm not the best with limiters anyway so it's something I'm gonna work on before I do any more serious recordings.
